Shamil Tarpishchev, President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RFF) and member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), explained why Washington Capitals hockey player Alexander Ovechkin started scoring fewer goals. He shared his opinion with him “Match TV”.

“Washington has become a different team now. Now Ovechkin’s chances of scoring are much less than before. The attack has to be emotionally strong to create many chances. And Washington is being uprooted with blood every moment. And it is becoming more difficult to score goals.

The team has lost credibility on offense, it’s not Ovechkin. On offense, it’s a matter of team play; Not much luck. There are 67 goals left, Ovechkin will definitely score these goals in three years,” said Tarpishchev.

This season, Ovechkin played in 20 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) and recorded five goals and nine assists.

The difference between the Russian player who scored the most goals in the league and Wayne Gretzky is 67 goals. In third place is Gordie Howe, who scored 801 goals during his NHL career.

Ovechkin before named A big threat in attack.
