The executive slate, consisting of 56 members, was presented this Saturday and received backing from 80% of the 251 delegates, while the slate for the National Committee secured 85% support. The support for the leadership team negotiated by the two provincial leaders and the minister was 10 points lower than the level achieved by Ximo Puig in 2021 at the Benidorm congress. The new organization, which Morant will head as secretary general with Soler as president and Bielsa as deputy secretary general, comprises 56 members, seven fewer than the previous leadership. Of these, more than twenty positions remain held by figures with a strong profile in the party, including people associated with Puig and considered ximistas. The restructuring also brings in nearly 40 new names, many of them trusted by Soler and Bielsa. Source: Valencian Federation communications. The most notable addition is Vicent Mascarell, named Secretary of Organization, a move already reported by Levante-EMV on Friday. Alongside him are new figures such as Maria Such, who will oversee Equality; Jordi Mayor, the mayor of Cullera, responsible for Municipal Policy; Toni Francés, the mayor of Alcoy, in charge of Local Innovation; Toni González, mayor of Almussafes and a leading supporter of the abalismo faction, who will handle Energy Transition; and the veteran leader from Alicante, Ángel Franco. Also joining is the former director general Zulima Pérez. Source: Levante-EMV and Valencian Federation communications. Several new members had previously performed organizational duties within the party in other structures, mainly provincial, working alongside Soler and Bielsa. Mascarell, Mayor, and Neus Garrigues have been part of the core group linked to the mayor of Mislata in the Valencia provincial leadership. Bielsa also keeps in the executive some of his closest allies, such as the mayors of Paterna, Sagunto, and Burjassot, namely Juan Antonio Sagredo, Darío Moreno, and Rafa García. It was known that Pilar Bernabé, until now deputy secretary general, would head the Institutional Area, and Tania Baños would preside over the Council of Mayors, a post attached to the secretary general. Veterans like Carmen Martínez in Health and Miquel Soler in Talent Development, and Senator Rocío Briones in Employment, also remain in leadership roles. Source: internal party announcements.
