Movistar Plus+ has kicked off the countdown to the premiere of Season 2 of Sorry for the Inconvenience, already underway. The streaming platform announced this week that fresh episodes featuring the ensemble led by Antonio Resines and Miguel Rellán will debut in the catalog on March 30.

Alongside the premiere date, Movistar Plus+ revealed that the second season will include autograph moments. New cast members include Manuel Galiana, Javier Pereira, Fernando Barona, Carmen Arévalo, and Fernando Colomo, who join the familiar faces created for the show. The core team continues to feature Antonio Resines, Miguel Rellán, Fiorella Faltoyano, Peter Vives, María Miguel, Melina Matthews, Olga Hueso, Clairet Hernández, José Ramón Pardo, Guillermo Montesinos, Tito Valverde, among others.

The creators describe a clear direction for the season: the characters confront the harsh reality of their own decline. The show’s creators, Álvaro Fernández-Armero and Juan Cavestany, explain that they introduced a new character named Alejandro. Alejandro is portrayed as a cultured, well-spoken guide who faces age and circumstance without denying them. His presence is meant to prompt the protagonists to shed their humility or prejudice as they navigate this aging process.

This will be the second season of Sorry for the Inconvenience.

In the second season, the character Rafa, portrayed by Miguel Relan, grapples with life after a prostate cancer diagnosis. The illness brings about deep changes, including impotence, and Rafa confronts the personal gaps he never wanted to admit. Within this context, he seeks guidance from Müller, the performer who has a contractual role to help him face the end of life on his terms. Müller initially resists, but Rafa’s insistence persists until his persistence wears down the other party. The dynamic reshapes their relationship as Rafa relies on Müller to accompany him through difficult decisions.

Meanwhile, Müller faces pressure in his own world. He senses his position within the ensemble is threatened by Lombardo, a fellow musician played by Peter Lives. The storyline also follows Gloria, played by Fiorella Faltoyano, as she rebuilds her life and doubts her secret relationship with Irene, portrayed by María Miguel. The tension around this hidden bond could impact her friendship with Rafa.

Before the season reaches its nadir, the ensemble encounters Alexander, a retired intellectual played by Manuel Galiana. He acts as a guide on the new journey into old age. Alejandro’s sophistication and versatility make a strong impression on Müller, partly because he recognizes the potential of a mentor who respects the aging process. Rafa, with a more rugged outlook, experiences a different reaction; the contrast fuels curiosity and jealousy alike. Alejandro’s influence leads to a travel sequence that takes the group to Torremolinos. Rafa travels alongside other companions, including Fernando and Carmen, played by Fernando Colomo and Carmen Arévalo, respectively. Together they explore life from a fresh perspective and discover a renewed sense of purpose beyond the shadows of aging.
