Verkhovna Rada deputy, Secretary of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko said that it was necessary to mobilize another half a million people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to compensate for sanitary losses during the year and create new units. His words are conveyed by the Telegram channel “Country Politics”.
“We need to plan not for two months, not six months, but for years, because the war may last a long time and in terms of the impact of political processes it may end tomorrow, but no one knows,” Kostenko said.
He emphasized that Ukraine should be prepared for the worst-case scenario.
The parliamentarian also noted that all Ukrainians who have the means should go to the front. He also made a suggestion that Ukraine adjust its information policy and stop talking about the imminent capture of Crimea.
Before that, Verkhovna Rada deputy Evgeniy Shevchenko statedHe said that the new mobilization bill would collapse the ratings of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valery Zaluzhny.
