With two months left in the year, Alicante-Elche Airport has logged more passengers this year than in all of 2023. That makes the previous year’s record one of the most fleeting benchmarks in recent memory. Official monthly statistics show that the Alicante terminal welcomed 1,797,457 travelers, up 13.3% from the same month in 2023.
La cifra significativa se observa en el acumulado del año, pues esta se eleva hasta los 15.891.921 de pasajeros, un 16,5% más respecto a 2023 y, sobre todo, porque significa un 1 % más que toda la suma del año anterior. Los 144.243 viajeros suponen una diferencia menor, pero está cargada de significado para el aeródromo alicantino que se confirma como quinta de España.
From the official statistics, the performance remains among the strongest on record since data began. International travelers were still the majority, accounting for 87% of monthly users. In October, passenger numbers reached 1,568,027 within the commercial operations, a rise of 13.8%. Domestic traffic also grew, totaling 227,526 passengers, up 10.4%, all within the commercial traffic and compared with the previous year.
Entrando a desglosar las nacionalidades, los países que más pasajeros aportaron en octubre de 2024 fueron Reino Unido, con 594.284 viajeros; seguido de Países Bajos, con 114.560; Alemania, con 108.688; Bélgica, con 89.848; y Noruega, con 81.769.

En cuanto a los vuelos, el aeropuerto alicantino registró un total de 11.243 operaciones gestionadas, un 13,1% más que el mismo mes de 2023. Con relación a las operaciones, los diez primeros meses del año la infraestructura alicantina operó un total de 99.302 vuelos, un 14,9% más que en el mismo periodo del año anterior.
