The Machinery Forge event in Genshin Impact returns for a limited time, inviting players to tackle a sequence of tasks and claim exclusive rewards. This guide walks through every objective and reward, reflecting the event window from June 29 to July 11, 2022, and is written to help players in North America and Canada plan efficiently and maximize their gains.

How to start the Machinery Forge event

Access to the event requires meeting three prerequisites. First, reach Adventure Rank 30. Second, complete Chisato’s Letter quest. Third, finish the Archon quest Escape from Rito Island. Once these are done, open the Events menu, select Machinery Forge, and click the To Task icon to begin.

We have good toys: quickly gather ore, flowers, and fruit

Begin by visiting the Adventurer’s Guild in Inazuma and speaking with Katerina. Then travel to Rito Island and talk to Bertrand. He provides a special tool known as Material Collector. After a quick rest, proceed with the task.

The first step is to locate three pieces of ore. Ore can be found in the open world or by following the event screenshots. A reliable method is to explore the Rift dungeons for easier access to ore.

Next, locate three flowers; checking the map helps pinpoint their locations. Then search for six fruits, with the event maps highlighting productive spots.

Return to Bertrand and speak with him to complete the initial stage of the quest.

Rewards:

  • Mora (20,000)
  • Hero’s Experience (2)
  • Enchanting Magic Ore (4)

We have good toys: energy reserve

Speak with Bertrand again. Then proceed to the Cape of Faith and follow the indicated waypoint. The character must be under the Pyro element for 15 seconds, indicated by the element icon above the health bar. Nearby will be fire adversaries and a flame flower. Combat is unnecessary; simply reaching the waypoint advances the run to the next stage.

Follow the map marker to the water area. The objective is to apply the Wet status to the hero. A nearby reservoir and hydro slimes help fulfill this requirement; the simplest method is to enter the water within range of the marked zone.

At the final location, the hero must be under Electro influence. Great electro slimes are available to assist this step. After completing the sequence, return to Bertrand to finish the second phase of the quest.

Rewards:

  • Mora (20,000)
  • Hero’s Experience (2)
  • Enchanting Magic Ore (4)

We have good toys: the charge of the core

Return to Rito Island and talk to Bertrand. Equip the Material Collector and locate three slimes of any element. A reliable spawn point is the lake shore near the Dawn Distillery, where cryo slimes frequently appear. The map marks the locations for convenience.

Then defeat various ghosts found around Sangonomiya Island in Inazuma. The final step asks players to defeat one hypostasis. Choose from the available options or consult the guide for Hydro Hypostasis if needed. After the boss is defeated, return to Bertrand and speak with him to complete this stage.

Rewards:

  • Mora (20,000)
  • Hero’s Experience (2)
  • Enchanting Magic Ore (4)

We have good toys: mass production

Talk to Bertrand to gain access to item crafting. Players can create items themselves from recipes listed in the Archive of Products. Each craft requires gathering resources and meeting specific conditions:

  • Collect 5 units of ore, flowers, or fruit
  • Charge the device with an element; the simplest route is to stay in water for 15 seconds to activate the effect
  • Harvest Core Charges from all elemental enemies, including Slimes, Ghosts, or Bosses

Ore sources and locations are shown in the event maps. Flowers and fruits are similarly mapped, with open-world and tree locations noted for easy gathering. Slimes can be found across the open world, while ghosts are commonly on Inazuma’s islands. For Electro Oceanid and Hydro Hypostasis, consult the event manuals on the map for precise locations.

With the required materials in hand, return to Bertrand, select the Let’s Make a Sample option, and receive a random coupon. After speaking again, choose I’d Like to Take a Toy to add decor rewards to the Teapot of Serenity inventory. Details about the Teapot’s functions are described in a separate guide.

Awards include:

  • Complete the quest: Mora (20,000), Hero Experience (2), Enchanting Magic Ore (4)
  • Create 2 monsters: Mora (30,000), Bronze Stones (60), Precious Branch of the Outer Seas (3)
  • Create 3 monsters: Mora (30,000), Bronze Stones (60), Joy of Narukami (3)
