How to start Archon quests Caribert in Genshin Impact
Accessing the Caribert Archon tasks requires meeting several prerequisites, listed below:
- Reach Adventure Rank 35.
- Complete the Archon quest Akasha’s Pulse and Kalpa’s Flame: Volume 3, Chapter 5.
- Finish the mid-story volume quest Inversion of Being.
Once all conditions are satisfied, update the game and open the task log (J) or visit the events menu. In two scenarios, the Caribert quest becomes available. From the events menu, select To the Task.
Remark: If the quest doesn’t appear, check the events menu for a specific reason. If no reason is shown, a game restart often helps.
How to complete the quest Fateful meeting
Head to Port Ormos and speak with Mr. Masrura, who received a letter bearing an unclear address. Use the teleport nearest the market square, then proceed to the pier.
Following the dialogue, the main mission begins. Open the Paimon menu and set the time to 4:00 PM the next day, but no later than 6:00 PM.
Near the pier stands a tavern where Keia waits. Follow the marker and talk with an old friend. Dinsleif appears during the conversation and mentions Keia as a descendant of the Abyss Order’s founder. The branch keeper suggests meeting later in the Avidya forest, which can be accessed via the Dendro Archon statue.
Upon reaching Gandha slope, viewers will see a cutscene and then must inspect a house. Enter, interact with a box, Mortar, and a bed.
Dinsleif hears street noise from a small slime group and players must deal with them. Then move to the fire behind the house and use a Pyro skill to ignite it.
During the cutscene, the traveler falls asleep, and Dainsleif goes into the woods to explore. Completing this sequence awards the achievement Night of the Walking Stars.

How to pass the quest Who may laugh at fate
Remark: From this point forward, players cannot leave the map boundaries until finishing the Caribert story arc. Attempts to open the map will fail until the special story mode ends.
Wake up, run to the house, and speak with a formidable man. They’ll enter the house and inspect a hilichurl. The man’s name is Eide, and the creature on his bed is his son Karibert, who carries an immortality curse that prevents death.
Return to the field and talk to Eide again. He offers to prepare a healing potion for Karibert. He provides two unusual mushrooms, and the drink needs a dusk rose and a lotus kalpalata. If extra plants aren’t available, they can be found at the Dendro Archon statue.
Prepare the Forbidden Nameless Medicine from the Royal Court and give it to Aida to earn the achievement Not yet a deadly disease.
Then visit the Seven Archons statue in the area to watch a cut scene, then return to Eide’s house.
The medicine proves ineffective, so a second potion is needed. Water must be gathered from a nearby waterfall, and unusual mushrooms must be grown. The waterfall is close by, and using four-leaf symbols helps speed travel.
Return to Eide and hand him the water; hostile former fighters will attack and must be defeated.
After a while, two more unusual mushrooms appear on the beds. Gather them and brew another nameless Royal Court medicine, then give the potion to Eide and return to the Dendro Archon statue. While speaking with Eide, a hilichurl resembling Karibert may appear, prompting pursuit.

How to pass the quest Cry at the sunset of fate
The monster is not the son of the new friend, but the two heroes will want to know where he goes. This leads to an unfamiliar shrine.
After a cutscene, players find themselves in a strange dungeon with few enemies but a small puzzle to solve. All Hilichurls here are hostile.
Deal with two groups of Hilichurls and advance to the gate. Look around for a regular chest on the right, then enter the passage from the other side.
Approach a crevice in the purple-glowing wall — a portal — to solve the puzzle using portals.
Exiting the other side, watch a video and fight slimes. Look for a chest and re-enter the portal.
Inside the main hall, clear slimes and hilichurls, then pry a print from a pedestal in the center of the room.
Run through the portal; the room will flip. Collect the second print and interact with the device on the left side of the hall. One of the two beams on the opposite side will unlock.
Return to the portal and use the teleport in the opened room. A rich chest awaits. Retrieve the last print to activate the grid and place it in the center of the hall to complete the puzzle.
After a short cutscene, the Herald of Doom appears. It is a tough foe, but taking it down is manageable with Pyro and Electro teammates. When the enemy’s health drops to a critical level, shield mechanics become easiest to break with these elements.
Opening the gate, move forward, inspect another normal chest, and watch the final cutscene in the main hall.
Returning to Eide’s house, he decides to give his son medicine again. The boy regains consciousness and recognizes his father, signaling a return to the unknown shrine. This completes the quest and unlocks the achievement On the Other Side of Fate.

How to pass the quest Destiny’s Destiny
Lead Eide toward an unknown shrine, encountering only two groups of slime along the way. Defeat them and enter the hall where the mysterious statue once stood.
Back at the home, Karibert has disappeared, and Eide spots a broken mirror. Follow the markers to locate the boy and, upon finding him, a long cutscene unfolds.
This completes the task and grants the Caribert achievement along with other rewards.
