How to participate in the event In the wake of the wind

The event opens to players who have reached Adventure Rank 20. No extra tasks are required. To activate it, open the Developments section and press Go to Game.

Players should head to Mondstadt and speak with Katerina, the Adventurer’s Guild secretary. She directs everyone to Gygax, located in the eastern area of the city.

Talk to the designated character and agree to join the game. This is done by opening the event menu and selecting Start selection.

Rules of the game In the wake of the wind

Teams form two sides. The Rebel team may include up to three players, while the Hunter team consists of a single hunter. Rebels get thirty seconds to hide in the chosen zone. The hunter then has three minutes to find all rebels. If the hunter fails to locate at least one rebel, the rebel side wins. Bonus points are awarded to the hunter based on the speed of finds.

How to play Hunter How to quickly locate rebels and win

The hunter uses several abilities to spot disguised rebels:

  1. Aura of Senses: this ability reveals if a rebel is nearby. An exclamation mark appears above the hunter when a rebel is detected, prompting the use of Gotcha.
  2. Sixth Sense: points roughly toward the nearest disguised rebel and can replace the Sense Aura ability.
  3. Got!a: this skill captures a rebel once found. The captured rebel is removed from the match.

Beyond basic skills, fighters can choose one of three replacement skills for the elemental blast. When time runs short, a glowing orb appears on the map to replenish abilities. A skill can be chosen before starting the game:

  1. Omniscience: replaces Elemental Burst and reveals all rebel locations on the mini map. It can be replenished once per game.
  2. Buoy: exposes a random rebel and holds them briefly, making capture easier if there is time to reach them.
  3. Hunter Intuition: removes a rebel’s disguise for a time and notifies all rebels when used.

After the game starts, the hunter should explore using Aura of Feelings and Sixth Sense, avoiding the Do you have? skill which can be countered by decoys from rebels. If Gotcha is used on a disguised object, the hunter’s line of sight is narrowed for a few seconds, potentially letting rebels shift cover.

When searching, inspect tree tops and hard to reach spots. Rebels often choose unusual camouflage positions or move objects like barrels, chairs, and lanterns. If a glow orb appears, activating one of the three replacement skills can turn the tide.

How to play as the Rebels What is the best disguise to use and how to hide from the hunter

Rebels possess several special abilities that help them endure the hunt:

  1. Invisibility: makes a rebel invisible to the hunter. If Gotcha near invisibility or Sixth Sense exposes a rebel, the cloak ends.
  2. Ace: creates a decoy on the map that can mislead the hunter. If the hunter triggers Gotcha near the decoy, the decoy detonates and narrows the hunter’s vision. This skill can replace Invisibility before the game begins.
  3. Disguise: allows blending with the environment by turning into a barrel, chair, column, or lantern on some maps. Use Lure in tandem to confuse the hunter.
  4. Star Flight: replaces Elemental Burst. Like Omniscience, it can be replenished by collecting a Glowing Orb. Movement speed rises during its duration, helping rebels escape, but care is needed to avoid dead ends.

The match takes place on one of eight randomly selected maps. Familiarity with the terrain eases hiding, while new players should react to the situation on the fly.

Look for tall trees and check disguisable objects. Some maps allow turning into glowing lights that are hard to spot. Trees offer cover when rebels reach high branches. When sun sets and lanterns glow, hiding near them becomes risky as they catch the eye of the hunter.

Be mindful of the Lure ability. A lantern disguised at the entrance of a gazebo might betray a rebel if the hunter spots the glow near the decor. Place similar lanterns elsewhere to misdirect the hunter.
