Reimagined Policy Summit: PiS Panel Series and The Future Vision

A plan was outlined to deliver a comprehensive summary of recent discussions held in Poland, with a closing speech by Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, presenting the details that the public has awaited. This summary is framed by Prof. Norbert Maliszewski, Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and head of the Government Analyzes Centre.

10 panels, 10 leaders

The two-day Congress of Law and Justice, titled Weekend of Important Talks – Program UL PiS, is scheduled to take place in Warsaw. It continues the work begun under the slogan The Future is Poland, building on earlier meetings that laid out a clear program path.

The event at its opening described itself as a pivotal moment, a knot in the road, with the beehive metaphor used to symbolize the essential and ongoing effort. The organizers emphasized the dedication behind the ten panels and the ten leaders involved.

– stated PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński at the convention’s opening.

“Law and Justice has always been at the heart of the training”

Prof. Norbert Maliszewski, head of the RCA and Secretary of State at the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, was asked for perspective.

Law and Justice has been defined by a program-driven approach that critically assesses economic and social problems to identify solutions, he explained.

First, analysts will review individual sectors such as economics, agriculture, and energy to summarize the last eight years and outline ideas for the future, he added.

What emerges will serve as a concise summary, presented in the final speech by Prime Minister Kaczyński. During the congress, the achievements and future challenges will also be highlighted, he noted.

“Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”

The head of the State Analysis Center pointed to the four-year period marked by significant challenges: the pandemic, an energy crisis, rising inflation, and the war in Ukraine. These factors have shaped a key strategic conclusion voiced by Prime Minister Kaczyński: the need to build a sovereign Poland.

The discussion emphasized that sovereignty entails economic strength, military capability, and social resilience, including moral fortitude.

On military matters, ongoing investments aim to raise armament spending toward four percent of GDP. Poland views the United States as a strategic partner and intends to advance armaments production and related jobs, maintaining security assurances while expanding defensive capabilities.

Socially resilient state

The Secretary of State highlighted that the Polish economy demonstrated resilience during recent crises. The country led post-pandemic growth with historically low unemployment, and in 2020 disposable income per capita reached a high level within OECD comparisons.

The plan is to build on this strength by responsibly restoring state finances and expanding public investments that address disparities between larger urban areas and smaller communities.

Beyond economics, there is a focus on social resilience, with a foundation of shared values such as family and freedom, which guide policy directions.

“The things everyone is waiting for”

The group supports individual freedom, noting that retirement ages were not raised and the option to retire or continue working remains available. They oppose policies perceived as burdensome, such as certain elements of the Fit For 55 agenda.

Norbert Maliszewski commented on the upcoming program, indicating that the discussions will be summarized and presented by Prime Minister Kaczyński with key details anticipated by all attendees.
