Juan Roig noted that last year Mercadona made purchases from suppliers in the province totaling 766 million euros, about a 9% increase from the previous year. This underscores that Mercadona s impact in Alicante extends beyond employment figures alone.

Among the province s main suppliers are Sanchis Mira (Antiu Xixona), a key supplier of chocolate and nougat; Precious Chocolates, maintaining important collaboration; and the spice brand Carmencita, a strategic partner.
