On the return of Menjars de la Terra, five dining spots representing l’Alcoià, El Comtat, and La Foia de Castalla have unveiled their menus. The event’s inclusive spirit shines through with special offers designed to appeal to all visitors.
From March 20 to 24, sessions will spotlight Mount Alicante cuisine. On Monday the 20th, Lolo restaurant in Alcoy hosts the opening tasting; Tuesday the 21st features La Viscaya in Castalla; Wednesday the 22nd brings Nou Raspa in Cocentaina; Thursday the 23rd showcases RQR in Ibi; and Friday the 24th concludes at Racó del Seta in Balones.
The INFORMACIÓN newspaper covers Menjars de la Terra this year with a refreshed approach. Returning with support from the Provincial Council, the touring gastronomy weeks visit different provincial regions each day, Monday through Friday, across a distinct restaurant in the itinerary.
The event also enjoys collaboration from the province’s Denomination of Origin Regulatory Councils, which promote Alicante products and help underline the area’s regional identity.
In this edition, the spotlight falls on two Denominations of Origin: the Cherry of Mount Alicante and the Traditional Spirits of Alcantet. These provincial DOs play a central role in highlighting local producers and culinary traditions.
It is important to note that these sessions are open to the general public, offering a unique chance to explore provincial flavors. Those interested simply search for the restaurants they want to visit and reserve a table for a flavorful experience.
