Damage bonus against bosses in Rogue Legacy 2. Where to find and how this mechanic works
Each boss holds a personal memory that unlocks a damage boost. Reading these records reveals enemy weaknesses and increases attack power against that specific boss. Every memory adds a 15% boost to base damage for the corresponding boss. Upgrades are earned by locating hidden chambers within each biome and uncovering memory fragments.
While exploring biomes, players may stumble upon memories that hint at secret chambers. To streamline the process, this guide pinpoints the locations of all secret sites and memories tied to each story boss.
Note: Early on, the hero cannot read memories. The path to knowledge runs through the Agartha Citadel where the Aesop’s Tom Family Heirloom must be found and used to enable reading of memories.
How to find Lamech Estuary Memory (Agartha Citadel)
Progressing through the biome reveals a distinctive Flashback showing a high room lit by lanterns. A chest sits atop that room. If the player has explored Rogue Legacy 2 before, this type of location will feel familiar.
The route requires climbing the fifth torch from the bottom and breaking a left wall with a magic strike to reveal a passage. Inside, ignore most doors and follow the elevated corridor. In the hidden area the memory can be read after entering the Memory Room, granting the favor bonus and increasing damage against the boss from that point forward.
How to find Nether Beast Bjarrich’s Memory (Axis of the World)
Within this biome, doors lead to small rooms filled with notes. One room contains a clue that opens a secret passage to the Beast or the Void Bjarrich memory.
Approach the end of the last location before the throne room. Two watermills stand nearby with a torch above. A cracked ceiling is visible upon closer inspection. Break it with a magic attack and reveal the path upward.
Climb with a double jump, move left, then up and right. The next lantern activates an interaction button. Press it to enter the Memory Room.
Read Bjarrich’s memory to receive the favor bonus. From that moment, the player will deal more damage to the corresponding boss.
How to find the memorial of the Noem Estuary (Kerguelen Plateau)
In the plateau’s earliest exploration, a hidden passage will appear containing a clue. It explains that Noem hid the memory at the entrance to the Kerguelen plateau.
Return to the entrance and look to the top right corner of the location. A small snow-covered ledge invites a double jump followed by a dash to reach it.
Perform another double jump. The character lands on a platform outside the map. Use the interaction button to read the Memory.
How to find the memory of the mouth of Enoch (Stygian Academy)
Inside the Stygian Academy a library sits as a large room with three doors. To reach the main door, locate the Void Bell Family Heirloom. Move to the second row from the bottom and read the second book on the right.
According to the records, a cliff must be found and the will used. In reality there is no will needed. An elongated location with a cliff appears on the left side of the biome. Stand beside the cliff and press the interaction button to read the memory.
A bridge appears after this step. Follow it to the building and find the Remembrance of the Estuary of Enoch.
How to find Irada Estuary Memory (Tower of the Sun)
The hidden passage to the next memory lies at the Tower of the Sun entrance. Reach the first resonance platform and use a magic attack on the right wall.
Behind the wall is a cliffside trap. Use it to climb the wooden ledge with stairs.
Two concealed passages exist. The correct route leads to the second passage where a door opens and reveals Irad’s Memory.
How to find Tubal Estuary Memory (Pishon Dry Lake)
The final memory sits in the Dry Lake Pison biome inside a room that connects to a warehouse. Do not waste effort smashing boxes and barrels in advance. They help later in locating Tubal’s records.
The room contains a top barrel on the right side. Use a channeled magic spell to uncover the Memories of the Estuary. Opening the ground passage requires reading Tubal’s memoirs in the book and accessing the bottom left corner of the location.
