“The Majestic Sky of That Day” marks a new chapter in Genshin Impact 3.6, part of the Hvarna of Good and Evil. Completing this quest grants a special companion who helps players solve riddles and puzzles in fresh Sumeru locations. This guide explains how to begin and finish the mission, plus the rewards and achievements players can earn.
How to start the Majestic Sky of That Day quest
The quest opens to all players who reach a teleport point between the Hadramavet desert and the newly explored Gavireh Lajavard region, along with the kingdom of Farahkert.
When a traveler approaches the designated teleporter, Paimon speaks a line and the quest begins. Some players reported the helper’s line didn’t trigger the task. In that case, turn around and inspect the nearby bush next to the teleporter. There is only one, and selecting “To dig” starts the job.
As the quest begins, a mysterious drum with a Cryo symbol is obtained. The game presents three possible answers, but regardless of choice, the drum must be brought to Katerina in the city of Sumeru.
How to get Sorush
Teleport to Sumeru’s main square and speak with Katerina. She explains where to go to learn more about the device, and a new chapter will begin, making the quest appear in the task log.
Open the map and fast travel to the same spot where the drum was found. Follow the path upward.
Near the teleport, a fairy appears. Pursue it and defeat enemies to open two ordinary chests.
On the left side of a cliff, a camp can be found. Approach the tent and talk to Pirro. After a brief conversation, Pirro attacks the traveler. Using main attacking heroes to lower his health by at least half makes the encounter manageable.
At that moment, a strange creature named Sorush appears. This flying companion will accompany the traveler through Sumeru and beyond, helping solve riddles and locate scattered chests. A dedicated guide will cover Sorush in detail later.
Follow Sorush to a nearby hut and deal with monsters. Several Hilichurls and a Mitachurl appear, and further enemies plus an abyss mage may join as the path progresses.
How to use the power of Hvarna and destroy the gray crystals
After the battle, chase Sorush to learn a new attack useful on journeys. Inspect a rock to the right of the cave entrance when prompted, and use any hero to break the bricks marked by the indicator.
A green fairy materializes, and following it leads into the cave. The achievement “Shine in the Dirt Stream” is unlocked, and players will later gain the ability to use a similar technique in other closed areas.
How to infiltrate the Skeptics’ Training Base
Inside the cave, travelers encounter a camp of treasure thieves. Conquer them, inspect standard chests, and follow the fairy upward. Four-leaf symbols play a role in navigation, and a Dendroculus hides along the way.
Bringing the four fairies to Gavirekh Lajavard and the Farahkert Kingdom awards the achievement “Desert Explorer.”
Be sure to check a rich chest that appears near the fairy and speak with Nasejun to proceed.
How to use Sorush’s skills
After speaking with the Skeptical Order’s leader, Sorush can be deployed as a companion. As the Hvarna of Good and Evil chapter unfolds, players learn to control it and solve various puzzles.
Open the inventory, go to the Tools section, select Sorush, and choose “To affect.” From that point, Sorush can be summoned and controlled, special four-leaf symbols can be rearranged, energy can be collected, and other actions can be performed.
Continue along the path and locate a glowing orange ball. Activate Sorush and stand in front of it. Completing this step earns the achievement “From scarf to bird…” and a small test can be attempted.
Climb higher until the quest point updates, leading to Vurukash’s oasis.
Take your time, as valuable Dendroculi and other chests may be found along the way. Jump toward the purple glow, then turn left. A Dendroculus sits on a rock crystal, and Sorush is required to collect it.
Nearby sits a four-leafed symbol distinct from luminous waypoints used for fast travel. Activate Sorush, fly as close as possible to the symbol, press E to pick it up, then rise above the Dendroculus and press T. Sorush leaves the symbol in place, allowing the traveler to retrieve the Dendroculus. This moment also unlocks the achievement “Whose offspring are you? What’s your name?”
How to solve the cave puzzle
Head to the marker and enter the cave. A new workout appears in the Research section by pressing the G key. Sorush helps collect energy and open standard chests as the journey continues.
Beyond the cutscene, explore the cave; several ordinary chests await, and a small puzzle can be solved. Three green energy balls must be collected in the correct order with Sorush’s aid. Inspect the stone to view the sequence, then approach a crystal to unlock a second ball and use the crystal to release the third energy ball. Returning to the traveler form, Sorush freezes in place, allowing the last ball to be gathered for a rich chest reward.
Exit the cave, activate the teleport, and reach the Dendro Archon statue to watch the cutscene. Follow the marker to complete the cave sequence and acquire the First Bet. After the dialogue, the quest finishes with a reward and the achievement “Land of Light.”
