Who is Suanni the Hermit?
Many centuries ago, Suanni were considered divine beasts, equal in importance to adepts. They lived in the Chenyu Valley, far from material possessions. But their modern descendants are real monsters. This is exactly what the one called the hermit turned out to be. In Genshin Impact’s story mode, he appears as a boss.
How to find Suanni Hermit in Genshin Impact
You will find Suanni in the Chenyu Valley. The exact location of the arena with him was marked on the map. Please note that it is underground.
You can go to the battlefield with the hermit with the help of golden carp. Take to it to cover long distances in seconds. Once you have opened the statue of the Archons, you can use it.
Who will you take on your team to fight the Suanni Hermit?
The boss is proficient in the Anemo and Hydro elements, so characters of these elements will be useless in battle. It is better to take Pyro, Electro or Cryo fighters. The remaining warriors should be chosen so that they complement and (or) enhance the skills of the main attacking hero. For example, anemo-elemental adepts can activate the Dispel reaction, allowing them to deal elemental damage more effectively.

A unit that focuses on Cryo damage and the melt reaction:
- Main Offensive Cryo Hero: Ayaka, Risley, Gan Yu or Rosaria;
- Cryo character for elemental resonance and extra damage: Shen He, Freminet, Kaya or Laila;
- Pyro Hero for the melting reaction: Xiang Ling, Toma or Amber;
- Doctor: Qi Qi (first priority), Mika (first priority), Diona (first priority), Bennett, Chevreuse, Barbara, Genie, Shinobu or Xing Qiu.

- Main attacking Electro Hero: Ke Qing, Raiden, Saino or Yae Miko;
- Electro character for elemental resonance and extra damage: Sarah, Bay Dou of Fischl;
- Hydro Hero for reaction charged: Xing Qiu, Nilu, Nevilette, Mona or Kandakia;
- Doctor: Dory (first priority), Shinobu (first priority), Qi Qi, Mika, Dione, Bennett, Chevreuse, Barbara, Genie or Xing Qiu.

Preparing for battle
In addition to pumped up heroes, you need to bring drinks and certain types of food that will make your team more effective in battle.
Potions to increase damage:
- frost oil — increases cryo damage by 25% for 300 seconds;
- Whirlpool oil — increases Hydro damage by 25% for 300 seconds;
- Flame oil — increases Pyro damage by 25% for 300 seconds;
- Thunder oil – Increases electrical damage by 25% for 300 seconds.
- Temptation of the Adept — increases attack power by 372 units and critical damage chance by 12% for 300 seconds;
- Lotus cookies — increases defense by 235 units for 300 seconds;
- Grow a mountain — increases the chance of a critical attack by 20% for 300 seconds.
Tactics of battles with Suanni the hermit
First of all, it is advisable to learn the boss’s attacks and respond to them correctly. This allows you to avoid damage and ultimately win. Basic techniques of a hermit:
- Water absorption. When you see the boss absorbing water, attack it with a Cryo ability to freeze it. Then it is advisable to perform any elementary reaction associated with ice. Let us remind you that Cryo goes well with Pyro, Electro and Hydro. If there are no characters with ice attacks on your team, just leave.
- Spontaneous explosions. Melee attacks that are easy to dodge. It is better to keep your distance from the boss and attack him from a long distance.
- Air spheres. Initially, they should be attacked with Hydro, Electro, Cryo, or Pyro attacks. If you manage to destroy all three balls within a certain time, the boss will stop moving and be open to your attacks for a while. If you don’t do this, the spheres will collapse on their own and pull your heroes towards them.
- Tail hits. Before this technique, the hermit begins to spin around itself and raise its tail. At this point you need to run to the side. But don’t relax: after completing the main attack, the boss will also release a wave of water, which also deals damage.
- Attacks from above. Suanni occasionally flies into the air and throws Anemo Spheres or Blades at you. You can avoid them by running to the side.
As you can see, attacks with the Cryo element while absorbing water and the destruction of Anemo spheres with elemental reactions will allow you to immobilize the boss, after which you can perform a series of attacks on him. We recommend hitting the hermit from a distance with a catalyst or bow and arrow. Those who choose a swordsman or spearman will have to dodge sideways, sprint and run back more often. Get treatment if necessary.
