One of the new swords introduced in Genshin Impact 3.1 is Xyphos Moonlight. This weapon brings not only style but also practical strength to a squad. It is relatively easy to obtain through wishes, and the guide below covers all known information about Xyphos Moonlight, how to obtain and ascend it, and who benefits most from it.
Xyphos Moonlight Features
Xyphos Moonlight is a four star one handed sword that raises energy recovery for its wielder and the entire team. Its base attack reaches 510 and it increases elemental mastery to 165. The weapon’s main effect triggers every 10 seconds, granting the wielder an extra energy recovery of 0.036% per point of their elemental mastery for 12 seconds. The effect also provides 30% of this benefit to each party member. If another character on the team equips the sword, the bonus stacks and remains active even when the equipped character is off the field.
How to obtain Xyphos Moonlight
The sword is obtainable exclusively through wishes. Its four star rarity makes acquiring it more accessible than many five star weapons.
Awakening Xyphos Moonlight

- Level 2 – Every 10 seconds, the wielder’s energy recovery increases by 0.045% per point of elemental mastery for 12 seconds. Party members receive 30% of this effect. Requires a duplicate and 1000 mora

Who benefits most from Xyphos Moonlight
Character selection should consider base elemental mastery and energy recovery. The higher these values, the more energy recovery benefits both the wielder and the entire party.
Best suited is Kazuha. The boost to energy recovery allows more frequent elemental bursts, especially when the squad contains other high-cost heroes.
Another strong option is the Dendro Traveler. One passive, Luxurious Greenery, increases ability damage with elemental mastery, and the traveler frequently uses potent elemental bursts. The sword strengthens the traveler while easing energy costs.
Neil is also a solid choice, as his Budding reaction scales with elemental mastery and relies on a powerful elemental burst.
The ultimate skill remains crucial for the Genie character, and using the sword to boost efficiency helps a lot.
In a reaction-focused team, upgrading Kouki Shinobu’s elemental mastery could be wise, and the heroine carrying the sword speeds up elemental explosions for others.
How to play with Xyphos Moonlight
The sword shines in a reaction-heavy team, with a focus on increasing elemental mastery and speeding up elemental burst casts for the whole party.
