in total, the program includes nine theatrical performances, five music shows, four family plays, two dance productions, two circus performances, and ten Filmoteca cinema sessions. Additionally, nine school campaign sessions for 2022-2023 are planned. Programming
the year opens on January 13 with a theater-circus show at Arniches titled Queen of Arga. This piece, which earned the Feten Award 2022 for best performance, features Stephanie de Paz Asinfor and centers on circus history, tightrope technique, and the life of Remigia Echarren, the Arga queen, a remarkable woman and renowned tightrope walker in Pamplona around the turn of the 20th century.
on Saturday the 14th, IVC presents Depedro in an acoustic concert. Jairo Zavala leads this project, which began in 2008 and has taken him to five continents, collaborating with musicians from many languages. Recordings have been released in more than thirty countries. Depedro will perform songs from his last two albums: The Studio Mercy Machine and Directly Before Dark.

January also features three theatrical performances: Artifact by La Zafirina and El Gatopardo, which earned four Generalitat Valenciana Performing Arts Award nominations. It will be joined by Mountain Sickness, a production by Spanish Theater and Buxman Productions, directed by Francesco Carril and Fernando Delgado-Hierro.
Dance closes January with Dead of the Living Room, a company founded in 2013 by Judith Argomania, affiliated with Ballet Biarritz Junior and Amaury Dance Company, presenting works by Nacho Duato, La Macana, and Shlomi Bitton, among others.
In February, Arniches hosts L’Horta Theater with Els Villalonga, Llucía Poveda, and Bruno Tamarit, joined by Alfred Picó, Best Actor Award winner at Premis de les Arts Escèniques de la Generalitat Valenciana in 2022. The show opens February 3, alongside three other nominees.
The circus season continues with Karl Stets presenting Sane on Saturday the 4th. February also brings Titzina Theater’s Owllike, a production that invites audiences to reflect on common and deep personal issues.
Sara Calero appears in Finitude on February 17. Benlloch Cia presents 337km, addressing Asperger’s syndrome in depth and also featured in the school campaign for high school audiences. SEA will present on February 24 by Andrea Díaz Reboredo, winner of multiple awards at the Fira de Títols de Lleida’s Drac d’Or, for best playwriting and international jury recognition; the production is described as an intimate theater of things.

February also brings a circuit of Valencian music with Sonora at the Teatre Arniches, including two Alicante stops. Sonora welcomes finalists or winners from previous Carles Santos Music Awards as part of a seasonal strategy to broaden the music program and highlight award-recognized performances.
The first date in Alicante is February 25 featuring Louis Meadow, followed by March 11 with Santero and the Children. A single ticket price for both concerts is 5 euros.
In March, another musical thread runs alongside theater. Nobody Knows Penelope’s Songs marks the first show by Pedro, a long-form piece after receiving the Russafa Landscape Award in 2020. It blends scenes and songs, mixing popular folk tunes with the composer’s father’s works, with Jesus Salvador Chapi joining on stage.
Eduard Fernández performs All Love Songs on March 3, directed by Andres Lima and based on a text by Santiago Loza, discussing his mother’s fight with Alzheimer’s.
On March 24, Valencia Institute of Culture presents Public Affairs, a show exploring governance and storytelling. By March 25, Arniches shifts to flamenco with Finitude by Sara Calero.
The two actresses of Freak by Amor Producciones will highlight a social theater piece on femininity and self-image, drawn from contemporary social theater and becoming an international reference in its exploration of sexuality with humor and gravity.
Some Menus
Some Menus returns with La Chana Teatro in January for Snow White, a family show at 12 noon on Sunday, January 22. A Sunday family performance titled Spirit of the Labu Theater is planned for February 12, followed by March 5 with cuckoo by Bambalina, Teatre Practicable, and the Premis de les Arts Escèniques de la Generalitat Valenciana 2022 award for Best Children’s Show. Spasmo Teatro wraps up the family quarter on March 18.
Filmoteca will present ten sessions from January to March at 7:30 p.m., continuing with Charles Chaplin’s current film series along with Nobuhiro Suwa’s The Wind Telephone and Jean-Gabriel Périot’s Back to Reims.
Gran Abonament and Abonament Jove go on sale until January 13, with Subonament à la Carte available. Individual ticket sales begin on December 20.
