Avtodom to Introduce Zeekr Electric Vehicles in Russia’s Market in October
Avtodom, a dealer known for carrying premium automotive brands, announced plans to begin selling three Zeekr electric vehicles in Russia this October. The information was shared on the company’s own website, signaling a notable expansion for the Zeekr brand into a new regional market.
According to the announcement, Zeekr X, Zeekr 001, and Zeekr 009 will be available through Avtodom’s network starting in October this year. The models will be offered at Avtodom locations in Moscow and St. Petersburg, with distribution also planned through Avtodom dealers in St. Petersburg.
Zeekr is a Chinese premium electric vehicle brand that operates as a division within Geely. The Zeekr lineup has been produced since October 2021, reflecting Geely’s push toward electrified mobility in the global market. The brand has positioned itself as a high-end option within the rapidly growing EV segment, combining performance, advanced technology, and distinctive design language.
The Zeekr X was unveiled in China in April 2023. In its rear-wheel drive configuration, it is powered by a single electric motor delivering 272 horsepower, offering a driving range near 560 kilometers and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in about 5.8 seconds. A dual-motor all-wheel drive version adds a second engine, delivering a total of 428 horsepower, with a 0 to 100 km/h time of roughly 3.7 seconds and a range around 512 kilometers. These specifications illustrate Zeekr’s emphasis on efficient, sporty performance within the compact crossover segment.
The Zeekr 001 is a high-performance electric sports sedan with a power output that ranges from 272 to 1125 horsepower. Its acceleration figures span from 6.9 seconds down to 2.7 seconds for the 0 to 100 km/h sprint, highlighting the model’s versatility across different power configurations and driving preferences. This model underscores Zeekr’s intent to appeal to enthusiasts seeking both speed and long-range capability in a luxury package.
The Zeekr 009 is described as the fastest minivan in the Zeekr lineup. In its four-wheel drive format, it achieves 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds and carries a potent engine output of 544 horsepower. The combination of rapid acceleration and a spacious interior is presented as a practical yet performance-oriented option for families and executives who require space without compromising dynamic capability.
According to Avtodom’s press service, the starting price for Zeekr electric vehicles begins at 6 million rubles. This pricing point situates Zeekr within the premium EV market in Russia, aligning with consumer expectations for high-end electric mobility while reflecting regional market considerations and import dynamics that influence total cost of ownership.
Earlier reports noted another milestone for Zeekr when the initial batch of Geely Zeekr X crossovers rolled off the production line in China, with plans to market the model in Europe previously announced. These developments illustrate Zeekr’s broader international strategy, as the brand expands distribution beyond its established markets and tests demand in diverse regions.
