Since November, the Promochess City Chess Circuit has welcomed more than 100 players at a time and staged six events across various locations in the province. The event took place at the Félix Candela Architect pavilion in partnership with the city council, underscoring how local institutions support competitive chess and community engagement.
Participants competed across four categories within the provincial league, with awards presented to the top finishers by José Antonio Clement Gómez, the general manager of Promochess, and Marcos García Ramos, the sporting director of Promochess. The feedback from García highlighted the positive impact of Crevillent and all the events held so far, describing the day as a festive celebration of chess for all involved. He noted that participation has surpassed expectations, with a significant boost during the latest round, and he expressed enthusiasm for the ongoing season, the involvement of new municipal councils, and the continued support of sponsors.
