Russian Official Notes Hope for Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Deal by Year End
Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin said that there is always a chance to sign the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement before the end of the year. The update came through TASS reporting.
The diplomat added that the question of signing the peace agreement should be addressed directly to representatives of the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Galuzin voiced cautious optimism, stressing that while a deal may be within reach, the crucial question remains whether Yerevan and Baku would gain from such an arrangement.
Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan previously stated that Yerevan is prepared to move toward a peace agreement with Azerbaijan in a short timeframe, potentially before December ends.
Grigoryan explained that if Armeniariven terms for a peaceful settlement are accepted, roughly seventy percent of the text of the document could be considered approved.
Sargis Khandanyan, the chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Armenian Parliament, noted that the government remains open to constructive dialogue and does not rule out the possibility of signing a relevant agreement.
Earlier, voices in the European Parliament began discussing sanctions on Azerbaijan in response to the Karabakh developments, reflecting ongoing regional tensions and the broader international response to the situation.
