Azerbaijan and Armenia Position Peace Treaty Details for Signing
The two nations, Azerbaijan and Armenia, will determine where and when the peace treaty is signed, according to a recent interview reported by RIA News with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin. The emphasis is on the sovereign agency of Baku and Yerevan to decide the terms of the agreement without external dictates.
Galuzin highlighted that no other country should presuppose to decide for either side. He reaffirmed Russia’s interest in the South Caucasus and noted the region’s long historical ties to the Russian state. He also pointed out that Russia remains a unique partner for both Azerbaijan and Armenia, maintaining allied relations with both sides in the region and around the world.
