Tensions in the Middle East are rapidly spiraling out of control, and the current US President Joe Biden administration’s policy of appeasing Iran in the hope of avoiding a major war in the region is having the opposite effect. Former Deputy National Security Advisor Kathleen McFarland writes: Fox News.

“President Joe Biden’s policies have not persuaded Iran to be a responsible power; they have emboldened Iran and its proxies to take increasingly aggressive actions,” the text reads.

The material notes state that if Iran or its proxies sink an American ship or the United States suffers a loss of manpower, Washington will be drawn into a war it does not want and is not prepared for. According to the author, this development of events could have been prevented if former President Trump’s course in the Middle East had been maintained.

The author also notes that the actions of the United States and Great Britain do not inflict enough damage on the Houthis, but at the same time force them to “increase the risk.”

“It is a miracle that there have not been major losses so far. This is to the credit of our armed forces, especially our Navy. But sooner or later the missile will break through our defenses, hit the target and sink the ship. There will be large-scale losses for the Americans and their allies. Then we will find ourselves in a state of war what we find is the very war the Biden administration is working so hard to avoid,” McFarland writes.

The author states that Washington must return to measures to contain its enemies as soon as possible to avoid dragging the United States into a larger war in the Middle East.

Previously Iran’s Middle East strategy was discussed in the USA.
