Vivek Ramaswamy, US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, evaluated the decision of the House of Representatives to take away the powers of Republican George Santos, who is accused of fraud, from New York. Wrote this on a social network X (formerly Twitter).
According to Ramaswamy, the decision opens a Pandora’s box that will “definitely be used” in the future.
He also stated that Santos was a “pathological liar”. The presidential candidate also stated that the decision on whether this Republican will serve in Congress belongs to the voters, and that the fraud charges against him should be evaluated in court.
December 1, US House of Representatives voted For expelling Rep. George Santos from Congress for his alleged financial crimes and campaign lies.
311 members voted to impeach Santos and 114 council members supported him.
