If so, we will be a tough, substantive and constructive opposition, PiS MP Marek Ast said on Polskie Radio 24 on Wednesday. “I still hope that PiS will govern after all,” he added.
When asked if Law and Justice would be a total opposition, Ast assured that this would not be the case.

We will be a tough, substantive, constructive opposition that will present our proposals and look into the hands of the authorities.
– he emphasized, adding that “if we are the opposition, of course.”
Hope for PiS rule
The PiS politician noted that he still hopes that, having entrusted the mission of forming a government to a representative of the winning party – as a result of the talks – Law and Justice will rule. He pointed out that “at least conversations need to be started.”
It remains to be seen what will emerge from these talks
– added.
Of course, we cannot rule out the possibility that Law and Justice will be an opposition party. As I have already said, we do not intend to repeat what the Civic Platform did, which was to become the total opposition to the United Right government. It was a bad practice that destroyed public debate and the state
– emphasized Ast.
When asked whether Mateusz Morawiecki would be PiS’s candidate for prime minister, the politician said that “such a proposal from Law and Justice will fail.”
Mateusz Morawicki has led the government for two terms with excellent results
– he said.
I see no reason why Law and Justice should not recommend Mateusz Morawiecki to President Mateusz Morawiecki as a candidate for Prime Minister.
– emphasized Ast.
