The chairman of the Institute for National Remembrance has sent a letter to the German Minister of the Interior and the Minister of Education and Scientific Research. Dr. Karol Nawrocki provided support in carrying out educational activities in Germany.
In a letter to Nancy Faeser and Bettina Stark-Watzinger, he presents an offer of actions to remember the crimes of National Socialism.
Dr. Karol Nawrocki writes:
The deliberate failure of successive German authorities to prosecute criminals responsible for the deaths of millions of victims of the crime industry was launched on a grand scale after Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933; putting into perspective the responsibility for causing the Second World War; failure to mention the nationality of the perpetrators of war atrocities; the use of the term “Polish concentration camps”, supposedly in purely geographical terms; Finally, publicly denouncing demands for reparations for injustices caused has such consequences. Some citizens of modern Germany see the Third Reich as the embodiment of a proud and strong state that aspires to the role of world leader. They do not care about the enormity of the crimes committed and the genocidal ideology professed by members of the NSDAP.

Building historical sensitivity based on truth is a difficult and lengthy process. However, in the long run it produces tangible results. I am convinced that a joint effort will lead Germans, especially the young, to understand how bad the Nazi totalitarian system was, built on hatred and contempt for other people. It led to the death of millions of victims, especially painful for the Jews and my compatriots – Poles
– argues the chairman of the Institute of National Remembrance.
Historical education
Dr. Nawrocki assures that educational activities in Germany are intended to lead to a situation where “no citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany will ever again raise his hand in an embarrassing Nazi salute.”
My colleagues’ previous experience in providing historical education based on reliable scientific research guarantees an effective reach to the hearts and minds of German citizens. So that no German citizen will ever again raise his hand for an embarrassing Nazi salute; so that no one will ever again sound the songs of criminals in the uniforms of the Wehrmacht or other armed formations; so that no one sets up neo-Nazi organizations
– writes President Nawrocki.
