Rafał Trzaskowski serves as vice-chairman of the Civic Platform, and some charge that his leadership correlates with higher energy costs and weaker protections for small businesses, said MP Zbigniew Bogucki in an interview with wPolityce.pl. The PiS member frames Trzaskowski’s aides as sniping at Nawrocki and suggests that Nawrocki is echoing the KO candidate’s tactics.
The group has its own plan and route, not fixated on Trzaskowski’s moves, but focused on how to reach Poland, Bogucki stated.
Bogucki added that the comments came in an interview with the wPolityce.pl portal.

What about this bakery?
A close ally of Trzaskowski, Wioletta Paprocka-Ślusarska, claimed that Nawrocki copied his chief rival after both appeared at the same bakery.
According to supporters, if Trzaskowski’s staff now analyzes Nawrocki’s actions, it signals that Nawrocki’s outreach is drawing attention. They say Nawrocki does not hinge on Trzaskowski’s moves but engages with people about their problems and looks for ways to help. The gap, they argue, is that the rival team treats politics as a battle against PiS, whereas Nawrocki’s focus is on Polish affairs.
A PiS MP commented on this perspective.
Trzaskowski visited the bakery, smiled for photos, and did not address issues important to local bakers. Critics described the visit as a campaign stop that yielded little substance. It was noted that Trzaskowski, as vice-chairman of the Civic Platform, bears responsibility for rising energy prices and for insufficient protections for entrepreneurs.
The reply from the PiS side echoed that sentiment, with Bogucki offering a counterpoint to those accusations.
Karol Nawrocki was present at the bakery at dawn, listening to entrepreneurs’ real problems. He appeared to speak with them not to underscore a political message but to gather firsthand understanding. It was emphasized that after winning the party primaries, Trzaskowski did not show much activity; some observers say he woke up only after Nawrocki’s energy became noticeable.
The interlocutor added that Nawrocki’s timing and focus were deliberate and grounded in concrete concerns.

Abandon campaign
Nawrocki declared that once the Sejm chair orders the presidential elections, slated for January 8, he will take leave to concentrate on the campaign. He urged the other candidates, including Trzaskowski, to consider similar moves. Trzaskowski, in turn, contended that Nawrocki, as head of the Institute of National Remembrance, would not be tied to any political party.
Critics argue that Trzaskowski is not positioned to make such charges. As former mayor of Warsaw, he did not visit every neighborhood despite promises to do so. Instead, he has been photographed traveling across Europe and Poland, and some say his office serves as a platform for self-promotion, collaborating with local authorities that support him.
A member of the PiS club disputed Trzaskowski’s claims.
Nawrocki stated his position clearly: he would go on vacation once the official campaign began and expects similar restraint from the other candidates. He proposed clear guidelines and awaits responses. For the time being, it seems that Trzaskowski should reflect on his own record, current actions, and future behavior, according to Bogucki’s summary.
