Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan accused Russia of not fulfilling its obligations to protect Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported with reference to Grigoryan’s interview with the country’s Public Television. armenpress.am.

According to Grigoryan, Russia has been cooperating with Azerbaijan for many years and selling weapons to it. Meanwhile, according to the Tripartite Declaration of November 9, 2020, Russia has clear obligations to protect Nagorno-Karabakh. However, Grigoryan said that Russian peacekeepers serving in the region did not fulfill these obligations.

The Secretary of the Armenian Security Council emphasized that Russian peacekeepers did not carry out any operations there after Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack on Nagorno-Karabakh.

Grigoryan also said that Yerevan has been informing Moscow about the deteriorating situation in the region for a long time.
