Anti-pissism is like a drug, you have to dose it more and more often – says editor Rafał Woś. An interesting interview with editor Rafał Woś, once a journalist of the weekly magazine “Polityka”, and now a journalist and columnist of the portal Salon24.pl, led by editor Goran Andrijanic, was published in the last weekly magazine “Sieci”.
Among other things, editor Woś is asked about the so-called panel of symmetrists, four journalists who were first officially invited to the debate on the Campus organized by Rafał Trzaskowski in Olsztyn, and then MP Sławomir Nitras tried to force Marcin Meller, who led this panel, to to cancel the participation of one of the panelists, editor Grzegorz Sroczyński of TOK FM radio.
When Meller refused, the Campus organizers canceled the entire panel, causing a storm on the social media, culminating in the question of what the PO will do with the media and journalists, how will it come to power, if it behaves towards them, as in this case, in a situation while they were still in opposition.
red. Woś explains that since Donald Tusk came back to power in the PO, radicalism in this group has grown to such an extent that, among other things, they can no longer even listen to journalists who until recently supported them uncritically, but now decided to criticize some people . of their deeds this party.
Incidentally, editor Woś explains a more general phenomenon: the growth of so-called anti-pissism in the liberal media, which in recent years has eliminated journalists who think differently from their editorial staff, but in fact this description characterizes the entire opposition environment, and in particular the Platform environment.
red. Woś describes it as follows: “antipisism is a drug, at first it helped to reduce the pain after the loss of strength in 2015, but then it became addictive very quickly, you had to dose it more and more, it was not enough to saying that PiS is terrible, you had to say that is disgraceful.”
And further, “the swear words had to be thicker, moral panic more and more often caused, if not forests, then wild boars, if not Margot, then Mercury, if not Polexit, then Mrs. Joanna”, it was necessary to hit PiS more and more often and more difficult.
Editor Woś’s conclusion on this is as follows: “As a result, the anti-PiS camp is becoming increasingly disconnected from social sentiment, all because this camp has no intention of accepting the fact that it will lose its dominant position in 2015. lost in the economy. In society, they still think it happened by accident and for a moment.”
And further: “every next election in this camp will be held under the slogan: we are good, PiS is bad and for eight years PiS has won every election, probably ten times in a row, if this is not a sign that anti-pissism has overtaken the opposition. doesn’t serve, then I really don’t know what that sign could be.”
Both the diagnosis and editor Woś’s conclusions seem to accurately describe Civic Platform’s environment, especially after Donald Tusk, who returned from abroad, took power in this party.
The PO has been in the opposition for eight years, has not developed any electoral programme, and as Bogusław Sonik, a long-time member of this party’s MP (now outside the party), recently revealed in an interview with Onet: “After returning to national politics Tusk said that in politics there are only emotions and he will bet on it, no program is needed in this situation”.
In this situation, there will certainly be no PO program in the election campaign, and even stronger attacks against PiS will take place in the hope that it will be possible to trigger events that will cause extraordinary negative emotions towards those in power .
One of these would be the October 1 march caused by “Mrs. Joanna’s case”, but after the Internet was flooded with information about this figure, Tusk quickly forgot about her and it is not clear which will be the main one. driving force behind this march.
Everything seems to indicate, however, that deploying the PO solely on anti-piss and negative emotions will not bring success to this party this time either, and Law and Justice will win the upcoming election and rule for a third term.
