Restalia Expands its Global Footprint with 100 Montaditos in Amsterdam and Beyond
Restalia, the Spanish multinational restaurant group, continues to grow its European presence with a new 100 Montaditos center strategically located in Amsterdam. The expansion aligns with Restalia’s upcoming openings planned for Prague, Poland, and Dublin in the near future, signaling a broader European push.
The newly opened venue, branded as Sevilla Tapas outside Spain, sits at Amstelstraat 7 and is positioned in a busy tourism district known for high footfall and strong demand for casual dining experiences. Restalia described the site as an ideal commercial area with substantial local traffic, a choice that supports its model of pairing Spanish-inspired cuisine with accessible, everyday dining.
This development forms part of Restalia’s Capitals of the World initiative, a strategic project aimed at extending the company’s footprint to more than 40 major cities across the globe. At present, Restalia operates across Europe, Latin America, and the United States, with Europe designated as the priority market during the initial phase of this global expansion.
Restalia has a proven track record in growing brand presence in Europe, drawing lessons from its success in Portugal where the group now runs over 50 units across five active brands. The company has set a bold objective to double its footprint in Portugal by 2025 and envisions the international market contributing a meaningful share to its overall portfolio in the years ahead. This optimism reflects Restalia’s confidence in scalable, replicable formats that resonate with diverse consumer tastes around the world.
Beyond pure expansion, Restalia emphasizes that its international activities bolster the appeal of its Spanish brand portfolio abroad. The company highlights that its so-called Spanish thematic concept offers an immersive experience focused on consumption and entertainment, enabling guests to enjoy a taste of Spain while engaging in a casual, family-friendly dining environment. This approach not only broadens brand visibility but also reinforces the cultural connections that underpin Restalia’s global growth strategy.
