Finetwork is one of Spain’s fastest-growing telecom operators. Since last October, its porting figures have been made public, and they show Finetwork pushing ahead. Behind Digi, Finetwork is the operator that gains the most net customers in a single month, clearly ahead of the competition.
According to data from the Association of Operators for Mobile Portability, only three operators posted positive net balances in October. In first place was Digi with 55,300 new lines, followed by Finetwork with 33,300, and in third place Telefónica, counting Movistar and O2, with a positive balance of 11,500 lines.
Market data for the third quarter confirms Finetwork’s strong progress in the low-cost segment. Despite a modest size of about 1.3 million customers in Spain, the operator accounts for 13% of new contracts and stands out for its rapid growth relative to rivals.
Presence across more than 90 percent of the national territory
From ACTIVOS, Finetwork was directly asked about the reasons behind this meteoric rise. The company points to a broader fiber footprint as a key driver, noting that fiber coverage has more than doubled in recent months. Today Finetwork can offer fiber services to more than 20 million housing units, representing more than 90 percent of the national territory.
This extensive fiber reach marks Finetwork as one of the widest networks in the country and helps overcome a historical limitation. At the start of 2024 the company disclosed it could not meet about 30% of fiber installation requests at customer service due to footprint constraints.
Convergent plans from just €18.90 per month
Pricing is another decisive factor. Finetwork’s catalog for private customers features convergent plans starting at €18.90 per month. Top selling options include unlimited mobile data, priced at €19.90 per month for mobile only, or €34.90 when pairing unlimited mobile data with the fastest fiber at home, a 1 Gbps connection.
During Black Friday, both configurations include a ZTE A75 5G smartphone at no extra cost.
Sweepstakes and other perks for customers
Another differentiator for Finetwork is the range of sweepstakes, promotions, and other benefits it offers throughout the year. These include prizes tied to sponsorship deals, such as free tickets to concerts or exclusive events organized by the brand itself. In 2023 Finetwork staged a private event for customers with Fernando Alonso, and in 2024 a masterclass with Ale Galán, one of the world’s top padel players.
Moreover, Finetwork notes that this year it has improved conditions for more than half a million users, delivering higher fiber speeds or more gigabytes for mobile while keeping prices unchanged and without extra conditions.
Affected by DANA
Finetwork has announced several measures to assist those affected by DANA, which has hit parts of Valencia and Albacete particularly hard. To ensure mobile connectivity remains intact, the company is offering extra gigabytes to affected customers. It has also stated that landline charges will be waived in the most affected locations and will provide full flexibility to the circumstances those users may face. In addition, Finetwork opened a bank account whose entire income will go to aid those impacted by the disaster.
