Bocopa has led the way in organic wines since 1996 and continues to gain recognition at provincial, national, and international levels each year.
Inside Bacchus 2024 at the fair, a cornerstone event for the wine industry, 103 top tasters from 28 countries evaluated nearly 2,000 wines. Among them, 621 received awards including 71 Grand Gold, 412 Gold, and 138 Silver.
Spain claimed the podium as Bacchus reaffirmed its status as the premier showcase of Ibero-American wines and spirits globally. Highlights included wines from Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Portugal, with Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Moldova also achieving notable placements, alongside entries from Germany, Italy, France, Australia, and New Zealand.
A total of 1,985 references were recorded. Alicante wineries earned nine medals, with Bocopa securing three medals.
Bocopa selections included Laudum Fondillón as Bacchus Big Gold, Laudum XII Plus as Bacopa Gold, and Laudum Oak as Bacopa Silver.

This blend of 70 percent Monastrell and 30 percent Syrah captures the coastal city’s joy and culinary diversity. On the nose, dark fruits and forest fruits mingle with touches of pastry and spice, while the palate delivers a dry initial attack followed by a wide, rounded, and fruit-forward midpalate. The finish is long with balsamic notes, making it a versatile match for tapas, rice dishes, and red meats from Benidorm’s cuisine.

It is sourced from old Monastrell vines in the Vinalopó valley and includes sites such as Cascante in La Cañada, Rincón del Moro in Sax, and Caholla in Castalla. Aged in new French oak for 12 months and bottled after another 12 months, it released in March 2019. The wine presents a cherry color with ruby edges, ripe fruits, berries, spices, minerals, and Mediterranean shrubs on the nose. In the mouth, fruit-forward character dominates with a long, satisfying finish and hints of spice and licorice.

A harmonious blend of 70 percent Monastrell and 30 percent Syrah, this wine offers a cherry-red color with violet tones, notes of violets on the nose, and a deep aroma.
