Benillup

Benillup, together with Benimarfull, sits on a small hill offering panoramic views from the Vall del Travadell viewpoint. It borders Cocentaina, Millena, and Almudaina, making it a quiet base for short getaways or longer explorations. One of the town’s most compelling attractions is the ethnology museum housed in an old mill, where visitors discover the rural tools and practices once central to oil and wine production. A family friendly route stretches eight kilometers, taking roughly two and a half hours to complete. The walk begins in Benillup and ends in Benimarfull, a nearby town rich with nature trails and photo-worthy landscapes.

Famorca

Famorca is a compact village nestled in a valley between the Serrella and Alfaro mountain ranges. Its charm includes the church of San Cayetano, dating to the 16th century, and nearby historic features such as a snow pit. Accessible on foot via the Les Foietes road, the village offers a nature-filled picnic area with fountains and tables for a relaxed meal outdoors. Nearby sites include La Cova, Font dels Olbits, and l’Avenc de Famorca, all perfect for a day of light hiking or simple discovery. Beyond the immediate sights, the Serrella range hides numerous routes ideal for hikers seeking scenic overlooks and tranquil treks through pine forests and rocky terraces.

The trek is best suited for experienced walkers who enjoy mountain terrain, offering an ascent to the high points of the Alfaro Sierra and a rewarding descent into the Malafi Valley. The scenery, especially from elevated viewpoints, makes the effort worthwhile for outdoor enthusiasts and photographers alike.

Benimassot sits within the Almudiana mountains of the Seta valley. This small town, home to about 97 residents, presents a range of options for intimate explorations. Visitors can discover caves and later visit the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Afterward, they can savor local dishes such as arroz al forn or coquetes fregides, bringing a satisfying close to a day of light adventure and authentic regional flavor.
