Benillup
Benillup, paired with Benimarfull, is a small municipality of 97 residents perched on a gentle hill that crowns Cocentaina, Millena and Almudaina. From the vantage point known as Vall del Travadell, the landscape unfolds with panoramic angles that invite lingering.
One of the most visited spots in Benillup is the ethnology museum housed in an old mill. Here, visitors can see traditional farming tools and artifacts once essential to oil and wine production, offering a tangible link to the rural past.
There is an eight-kilometer route that makes a family-friendly circuit from Benillup to Benimarfull. It is a relaxed hike of roughly two and a half hours, weaving through villages that overflow with nature and small-town charm.
Famorca
Famorca sits in a valley framed by the Serrella and Alfaro mountains. Inside the town, the church of San Cayetano, dating from the 16th century, stands as a quiet testament to its history. Nearby, a snowfall pit can be explored on foot from the Les Foietes road. When a break in nature is desired, there are relaxation areas with fountains and picnic tables to enjoy a peaceful moment amid the scenery. Nearby attractions like La Cova, Font dels Olbits, and l’Avenc de Famorca invite further exploration.
Beyond the village, the Serrella mountain range hides a wealth of hiking routes, making Famorca a suitable base for explorers who crave long, scenic walks through rugged terrain.
Tollos
Tollos presents a gentle challenge of roughly 19.5 kilometers on a circular route of medium difficulty, typically completed in about five hours. It is best suited for hikers accustomed to mountain treks, offering a climb that reaches the upper slopes of the Alfaro Sierra followed by a descent into the Malafir valley. The summit rewards walkers with priceless vistas of the surrounding landscape.
