In his speech, Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako drew attention to the successful cooperation with the company in many areas. He emphasized that the Zvezda shipbuilding complex is the flagship in the development of cooperation between the company and the region.
“SSK “Zvezda” is Russia’s most modern shipyard and specializes in the construction of all types of offshore production platforms, icebreakers and large-tonnage civilian ships, which are the basis of the Russian Arctic fleet. The company’s order portfolio currently includes approximately 60 ships. The shipbuilding complex is the locomotive of the Primorye economy, providing orders to related industries and production,” said Kozhemyako.
The shipyard is being created in the name of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the project operator is the Rosneft company. 12 ships have already been launched at the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex, including those delivered to customers, and 4 Aframax tankers with a total dead weight of 450,000 tonnes are on voyages. Additionally, 23 ships are actively under construction.
The head of the Primorsky Territory paid special attention to the program for the development of vocational training implemented by Rosneft in the region, which contributes to the development of the labor market throughout the Far East. According to him, the company is creating vocational training bases in the region.
“The main training ground for shipbuilders and ship repairers is the Far Eastern Shipbuilding College. Participates in the Federal “Vocational” Program. “The main production workers of the Zvezda complex are trained at the college, and the students receive practical training on the shipyard territory,” he said.
Kozhemyako noted that Rosneft has created an engineering center that will deal with issues in the field of production and import substitution for domestic shipbuilding and ship repair.
In addition, within the scope of Primorsky Region Days, Far Eastern cuisine will be tasted and lessons will be given on the protection of the ecology and biodiversity of the region, including leopards. Guests of the pavilion will also be able to send postcards with the words “Greetings from Primorye”.
