Days of the Zvezda shipyard, which will mark its eighth anniversary on December 17, opened at the Rosneft pavilion during the Russian Forum, as announced by the oil company’s press service.

During the opening, the film He is Alive was presented to pavilion guests. The film crew described the ships as living beings that were born in the shipyard, named, and welcomed as full residents of the sea, all made possible by human engineering.

The documentary walked viewers through the shipbuilding stages, the complex production capabilities, and the advanced equipment that fuel the shipyard’s operations.

Attendees participated in interactive activities led by Zvezda specialists. They experimented with the role of an electric gas welder, aiming to create a perfect ship seam using augmented reality glasses.

Visitors can also learn about available jobs at the shipbuilding complex, the working conditions in the Far East, and view models of ships under construction and completed vessels.

In addition, Zvezda staff hosted a master class titled I am a shipbuilder, inviting participants to explore the craft firsthand.

Zvezda stands as the most advanced shipyard in the country, focusing on the construction of large civilian ships and naval equipment. The project is advancing in Primorsky Territory, in the Bolshoi Kamen municipality, under the directive of President Vladimir Putin, with Rosneft serving as the project operator.

The shipyard spans more than 220 hectares of total construction area. Once all facilities are finished, Zvezda’s technical capacity will enable the processing of up to 330 thousand tons of metal annually.

The development of the shipyard runs parallel with the production program. At present, Zvezda’s order portfolio comprises around 60 civilian ships, with over 20 under active construction. Rosneft notes that the Zvezda shipbuilding complex has become a key driver of the Primorye economy for more than eight years, sustaining demand across related industries and suppliers.

Zvezda is the region’s leading employer, currently supporting approximately 11 thousand workers and contractors within the company network.

The international exhibition and forum in 2024 will continue at the VDNKh site. The Rosneft pavilion features a designed space with digital exhibits that illuminate the history, prospects, scientific advances, and social initiatives of the oil industry and the company, offering visitors a comprehensive glimpse into the sector and its regional impact.
