cepsa It responds to Repsol’s commercial offensive and fuels the commercial war at gas stations. The company decided to launch express discounts and extend the discounts until December. Discounts of up to 10 euro cents per liter Cepsa Gow (for individuals) and Starresa (for transport professionals) provide fuel to loyalty program customers.

Cepsa had so far resisted improving the discounts it had applied (between 5 and 6 cents per liter) and focused on strengthening its strategy through a system of alliances with 40 companies (El Corte Inglés, Amazon, Ikea, Mediamarkt, Ouigo, Fnac, Telepizza…) complement their own direct discounts with additional discounts on purchases at these partner companies.

The new promotion, valid from today until November 30, is valid for all types of fuel (gasoline, diesel and LPG) and is valid for Stage 1.500 service stations forming the network cepsa in spain. Users of the group’s two loyalty programs will benefit from 10 cent discounts, and new users who sign up now will receive an extra €10 welcome discount.

In the same week, Cepsa and Endesa announced the expansion of their alliance to jointly support the major electric vehicle charging business and challenge major rivals such as Iberdrola and Repsol in the development of electric mobility. Electricity and oil have launched a joint bid to add their respective networks of charging points, making them compatible but independent and offering cross-discounts to customers in both groups.

Repsol’s coup

Repsol has energized the gas station industry with the new discounts it has offered in recent months. The oil company, the largest in the Spanish market, has launched a commercial offensive, doubling the discounts it applies to its network of fuel stations by the end of the year, reaching discounts of up to 40 cents per liter.

Last April Repsol revolutionized its discount strategy by withdrawing the blanket discounts of 10 cents per liter it had maintained since the beginning of the year (after the end of the Government’s mandatory 20 cent discount) and introducing a new range of special and incremental savings. For customers: Customers who have signed contracts with other energy services of the group, such as electricity, gas, heating, electric mobility or solar self-consumption. The company now offers discounts of between 10 and 40 cents per liter of fuel and up to 100% on electric vehicle charging for users of the Waylet company’s payment system and depending on other energy services contracted by each driver.
