How to participate in the Wild Race event. When the event ends

Any player who has reached Adventure Rank 20 and completed the Archons’ quest line can enter the Wild Race, with no extra criteria required beyond those milestones.

The event runs for a limited window and comprises five challenges. A new task unlocks each day, so timely participation helps ensure all rewards are earned.

Complete challenges in the Wild Race event. Rules of the game

Once all prerequisites are met, open the events menu and select the corresponding tab. Tap on “To the Task” to begin.

Players should teleport to Mondstadt and locate a character near the central square. After a brief conversation, the first challenge becomes available. Interact with the desk beside the character to begin, and ensure the field compass is in your inventory before starting—the compass grants access to the challenge controls.

Open the inventory and switch to the Tools tab. A new item appears—activate it and select the effect to unlock access. Without the field compass, challenges cannot be entered.

Rules of the game

Players aim to collect as many balls as possible within a set time. Speed translates into higher scores. Before starting a run, players can choose a buff to activate during the game. The field compass requires blessed energy to grant buffs, represented by yellow glowing bulbs. Similar effects have appeared in other events.

Blessed energy recovers over time. It can also be charged by collecting field balls. The tests split field balls into two types:

  1. Harvest bulbs increase the overall progress in locating field balls.
  2. Sonar balls spawn multiple grain orbs that exist for a short time before vanishing.

You can team up to complete the Wild Race challenges. Partnership-based challenge points contribute to event rewards and are counted in cooperative results.

What are the skills

Before each challenge, players pick one active skill powered by the field compass. Available options include:

  1. Jump blessing – increases the character’s jump height after a brief delay.
  2. Blessing of the wind – creates a wind stream at the hero’s location after activation.
  3. Blessing of abundance – temporarily expands the search radius for field balls.

The field compass is used to activate a chosen skill, commonly bound to the Z key on PC. Each run has two charges; energy can be collected to replenish and then activated at the right moment.

How to complete the Downwind Challenge and collect all field balls

For this challenge, the recommended skills are either “Blessing of the Leap” or “Blessing of the Wind.” These help you reach the wind currents quickly or create them yourself.

The route starts on the roof of the tallest building. From there, slide to the adjacent roof, glide left, and land on a small house to collect roughly half of the balls.

Then use the wind ring to jump to the next building, collect more balls, and interact with a yellow ball. Additional orbs will appear—grab them all before they disappear.

Next, gather the remaining balls on the roof where the wind rings point, then descend. The last five spheres are positioned on canopies above food stalls.

Challenge rewards

Complete the “In the wind” challenge:

  • Collect 20 field balloons in 120 seconds: Source Stones (40), Hero Experience (4);
  • Collect 25 field balloons in 120 seconds: Source Stones (40), “Freedom” Clues (4);
  • Collect 30 field balloons in 120 seconds: Mora (40,000), Magic Ore Enchantment (8).

Updates to this guide will be provided as soon as new details become available.
