“For the sake of everyone’s hopes” marks a hidden achievement tucked inside the Wonders of the World section of Genshin Impact. Earning it requires gathering eight treasure maps and locating eight chests. The guide below explains where to find all the maps, how to uncover the hidden chests, and what you gain by completing the challenge.
How to unlock the secret achievement
To complete the achievement, players must discover eight treasure maps concealed in shells. The titles of the maps are: The Ballad of Liam, The Confession of Athos, Rouget’s Notes, Autumn’s Regrets, Barrow’s Expectations, Parker’s Hopes, The Missing of Rocky Avildsen, and Freeman’s Appeal. Each map appears in the inventory after collection, and players can search for them in any order.
Where to locate all the treasure maps
All eight maps lie in the Mort region, near Ipsissimus Tower. They are submerged underwater, resting inside large pearl-like shells. The locations below provide a precise guide to each item’s resting place.
The first map, Confession of Athos, is found by heading north from Ipsissimus Tower, close to the nearby Archon Statue. Enter the ruined structure and retrieve the map there. More detailed steps can be found in a dedicated article.
Treasure Map 2: The Ballad of Liyam
Proceed to the teleporter north of Ipsissimus Tower, climb toward the water’s surface, and push further north. Ruins sit near the shallow areas; enter through a broken window and you will discover the map nearby. After this, the trail leads to the Fort Charybdis ruins, where a note speaks of Liam’s pride and a generous reward upon success.
Teleport north of the ruins, then head east to the indicated spot. A treasure thief named Davy Smith waits there and must be defeated to claim the map. He uses electric bombs, so players should bring Pyro, Cryo, or Hydro elements to counter his attacks. A rich chest awaits after the foe is defeated.
Treasure Map 3: Barrow’s Expectations
Teleport west of Ipsissimus Tower near Mon Atoneki and dive into the water. A shell among the algae in the ruins holds the card. The next step requires solving a riddle about claws on a mountain near Lyusin Fountain to claim another reward. Climb east of the Lyusin Fountain, touch the crystal on the cliff top to reveal the path to the animal paw-shaped stone and locate the treasure there. The route features aerial rings and a final chest on a rock ledge waiting to be claimed.
Treasure Map 4: Rouget’s Notes
This map sits east of Ipsissimus Tower, near Fort Charybdis, accessible via the marked travel point and a swim east to the small ruins. A shell containing the notes rests there. The reward from Rouget requires moving east of a Weeping Willow by the lake and climbing the rock near a withered tree bearing the fruit of wisdom. Hit the correct tree three times to reveal a precious chest.
Follow the indicated route to the ruined hill and nearby destroyed house. Hitting the withered tree at the ruins three times yields the reward. The correct tree is identified by a hanging apple-like fruit and must be struck three times with a normal attack to open the chest.
Treasure Map 5: Autumn Regrets
The fifth map sits east of Ipsissimus Tower, behind a door-protected ruin. A shell marks the location of the remaining treasure card. The clue on the card mentions that Autumn has prepared a shelter reward near the lake. To obtain it, teleport east of the Weeping Willow and move toward the small northeast pond. If the lake is polluted, players can clear it by solving a sphere-and-ring puzzle and then entering a portal that leads to a lever-based chamber. A diary explains the lever behavior and guides the sequence.
The lever puzzle is solved by reading the diary first, then activating four mechanisms: near a chair, in the water, by the fire, and on the wall. Each lever must be engaged in the correct order to reveal the treasure behind a wall vent. The first lever is by the table; the second lies at the pond’s edge; the third is by the burning fire; the last is mounted high on the wall. When all four are activated, a hidden chest appears behind the hole in the wall.
Treasure Map 6: Parker’s Hope
The sixth map is southeast of Mon Atoneki’s slope. Dive underwater near the indicated spot, and a shallow bowl marks the chest’s location. The notes point to a clue in the eye of a grass-shaped fish on the eastern shore near the lake. Travel to the designated island, climb to the hill, and touch the crystal to reveal the treasure.
The eye-of-the-fish clue refers to a patch of grass on the beach that resembles a fish. Descend from the cliff, enter the eye-like pool surrounded by stones, and you will find a rich chest rewarding exploration.
Treasure Map 7: The Missing of Rocky Avildsen
The penultimate map rests underwater south of Fort Charybdis. On a large island at the map’s edge, dive to locate wreckage and a bowl; strike it to draw a card. The notes urge preserving Rocky’s legacy and direct players southeast from the fort ruins. Ascend and steer northeast until a small island with ship ruins appears, where a treasure thief named Davy Smith Jr. must be defeated. After his defeat, a rich chest is revealed.
Treasure Map 8: Freeman’s Conversion
The final map sits southeast of Fort Charybdis near the remains of a sunken ship. Use the underwater teleportation point and swim west until a grenade is visible. Hitting the grenade yields Freeman’s Appeal. Unlike the prior maps, this sheet features a drawing of a ship and a riddle about the fires: only the fire burning steadfastly above the earth is the fire of hope. Lighting it grants Freeman’s gratitude.
From there, head to the Rusty Helmet by using the misty forest path teleporter and moving toward the coast. To solve the riddle, extinguish two torches on the ship and light one. Pyro and Hydro team members are ideal for fast cooldowns. The first torch sits to the ship’s right, near crates; strike it with Hydro. The second torch is on the ship itself; climb higher to reach it. Lighting the torch on the ship’s side with Pyro yields a rich chest.
What happens after collecting all eight?
Once every map and chest are in hand, the eight cards merge into a single entry titled Ideals of the Rainbow Rose. Reading this in the inventory awards the achievement In the name of everyone’s hope, earning 5 primogems. In total, players can obtain 60 source stones from the chests. The journey itself becomes a memorable treasure-hunting expedition with multiple discoveries along the way.
