Resident Evil 4 players chase more than money and upgrades. They hunt for platinum, rare stones, and relics scattered across the game world. This guide covers all the stones and relics that players can find during the adventure.

Note: Gems often appear from mini-bosses, barrels, or crates and do not count toward the achievement because of their random appearance. A few are worth highlighting anyway.
Chapter 1
Velvety gemstone
Enter the open house in the central village square. After the cutscene, head up to the second floor to grab the grenade launcher. Jump out the window and run along the roof to a dead end where a stone awaits.
After fighting many locals, take the left path toward a distant building on the left. Inside, you will find a Ruby. It can be placed in the carafe found later.
Pearl necklace
When you reach the farm, inspect the small windmill with metal blades. A cage holds a treasure; knocking it over yields a pearl necklace.
If you shoot the lantern hanging over the well, you will obtain a Dirty Necklace. The merchant buys it, but for a lower price.
Proceed to the locked gate and enter the door on the right. A piece awaits here; remove the explosives, climb to the second floor, circle the millstones, and pass through the door to the balcony. From there, drop down and inspect the red box to receive the Decanter.
Remark: gems can be placed in the carafe to increase value when sold
After the previous treasure, enter the shed and check the table drawer. Stone interior.
Chapter 2
When you first meet the trader, push forward into a wide open area filled with enemies. Defeat them, then head left of the entrance, climb the hill, and locate the red chest. Ruby is inside.
Elegant mask
While hunting the Hex Emblem, check the building to the right of the main entrance. Inside you’ll find a small key. Return to the abandoned factory and use the key on the locked chest of drawers to claim the treasure inside.
After discovering the six-sided decal, return, open the gate, defeat some locals, and inspect the hole to the left of the stairs. Behind it sits a red chest with a sapphire.
Pearl necklace
Climb the stairs and approach the well where a lantern hangs. Before lowering it, shoot the wooden support holding the lid. If the necklace falls into the well, it becomes dirty and yields fewer pesetas when sold.
Here, look up to spot a small cage with a Sapphire.
When the previous treasure is collected, an enemy with a chainsaw appears. Defeat him to obtain the Emerald.
Head to the village chief’s house, circle around, and find an open door. Advance and examine the drawer on the right side of the table.
Chapter 3
Vintage compass
Return to the main square and inspect the second house on the left. A locked chest here opens with a key found in the chieftain’s house.
Velvety gemstone
Enter the town hall and look at the ceiling above the long table. Knock over the cage to retrieve a gem.
Elegant hairpin
Go around the church and inspect the red box to the right of the stairs. The treasure is inside.
Go to the quarry and look up. The jetty in the distance holds a blue medallion, and a cage with a ruby hangs nearby.
Old smoking pipe
In the Fish Hatchery, climb to the second platform. Examine the wooden gate to reveal a cage with treasure behind it.
Copper pocket watch
If fuel is obtained for the boat, don’t rush to swim across the lake. Return to the merchant area, drop to the lower level, and open the locked chest on the right with the small key from the Fish Hatchery.
Chapter 4
After the fish battle, board the boat and swim to the lake’s center. A wrecked ship hides a red chest containing a stone.
Luxury bracelet
This treasure comes after the giant fish fight. From there, traverse the cave with the altar, take the key to the old chapel, sail west to the coast, and open a shrine to obtain the treasure.
While at the shrine area, turn your camera to the right and above. A treasure rests on a wooden beam and can be knocked down with a shot.
Velvety gemstone
Follow the nearby big cave to solve the symbol puzzle. The left door is locked, so turn right and ignore the first set of stairs. In the next passage, look for a lantern and a wooden platform. Raise the camera and find a cage with treasure.
If you move east to the smaller cave and solve its puzzle, climb the stairs to knock over the cage holding the stone.

Before continuing the story, travel to the Settlement by the Lake and inspect the altar. With the key, this treasure can be opened from the altar.

In the same settlement, a beetle valued at 10,000 pesetas sits behind the pier. Look toward the trees behind the building to spot it.
Gold bar
To obtain this treasure, unlock the door using the cult icon, climb the stairs, and find a small key. Return, fight infected dogs, then enter the house where Luis was found. Open the box with the key and take the rod.
Ring with red stone
In the same house, continue forward and drop into the basement. In the place where Louis lay before, you can take the old man’s treasure and diary.
Gift idol
This treasure can be obtained after finding all hexagonal pieces and solving the dock riddle. A more detailed guide covers this.
You can also use a combination (normal difficulty):
- Turn to the left;
- Turn the top over.
- Twice left;
- Once upstairs.
Lamp with butterflies
After receiving the church key, return to the merchant and head to the quarry. A way shrine sits at the quarry entrance. Use the key to claim the treasure.
Defeat El Gigante as you make your way through the quarry to the church.
Velvety gemstone
Examine the bead that contained El Gigante.
Use the key on the church door and enter. To the right of the altar, take the small key, then exit and return to the room with the typewriter. Open the chest with the key and take the treasure.
chapter 5
At the start of a chapter, take a moment to explore. Return to the room where Ashley was found. A cage hides a diamond.
Elegant bracelet
Walk through the village square to the town hall and look at the first house on the left. Give Ashley a push to coax her into opening the gate.
Old smoking pipe
Head to the farm and use the shrine key to open the road altar. The treasure lies inside.

Return to the village square and find the chief’s house. On the second floor, inspect the painting and pull the lever that lowers part of the stairs. Help Ashley up. At the attic’s end, there is an old camera.
Back at the square, defeat the huge mutant dog to earn this stone.
Chapter 6
At the start of the chapter, after meeting the merchant, push through the long location and clear all enemies. A staircase to the left of the entrance leads to a red box.
Chalice of redemption
Move to the next area. The leftmost building houses an enemy. Defeat them and inspect the chest.
Elegant hairpin
When you reach the locker that hides Ashley, exit through the left door. Nearby, the last Way Shrine opens with a key.
After the boss of the slaughterhouse, leave the barn and follow the path up to the castle tower. The lone tree along the way bears a cage with the final village treasure. Collecting all treasures brings the villain achievement if earned earlier.
