With the 2.6 update, Honkai: Star Rail sends the Nameless Ones from the Star Express back to Penaconia. While the crew attends a Mastering seminar, Dan Heng and the Pathfinder head to a newly opened dreamworld on the planet of dreams—the Origami Academy—arriving on March 7. Beyond the familiar bayubanan monkeys, treasures lie scattered through the university. This guide explains where to find all chests in the Origami Academy and offers a map plus practical routes to collect them.
Location of all chests in Origami Academy on the map
Origami Academy holds twenty chests, most standard and each worth five Star Jade. A handful unlock through puzzles for bigger rewards, while others offer steady gains as you explore. The campus also features two royal tanks; engaging them with the right dialogue yields sizeable rewards. The map above marks every chest and tank to help players plan their route.
Chest #1
Teleport to the Origami Academy entrance, step onto the Highway of Colored Dreams, and veer left toward the balloon‑decorated entry. The first standard chest rests just inside the doorway, waiting as an opening gesture to the treasure hunt. It awards five Star Jade and serves as a friendly starting point for the run.
Chest #2
Proceed along the street and take the left fork. After passing the clerks’ counters, you’ll find Prema at the far end of a long table. The chest hides beside a crocodile‑shaped balloon, tucked into the corner near the seating line. Five Star Jade awaits the curious explorer.
Chest #3
Follow the semicircular path to a junction. One path leads to a large origami bird statue, the other to the academy halls. Turn right into the corridors and go straight until you reach the Banana Mentor. Turn right again. A blue door opens on the left into a classroom. The chest sits beside the professor’s desk, just behind the blackboard, waiting for a page of notes to tip it open.
Chest #4
In the same room, head to the top-left corner near the seating area where a royal tank sits. If the tank isn’t present yet, complete the Mastering Patch 2.6 mission first. The next steps hinge on this encounter, so check the seating zone before moving on.
Speak with the tank and choose the right dialogue lines to avoid combat. The valid options follow the visuals above. If the wrong option is chosen, step back briefly, let the tank calm down, and try again.
Chest #5
From the audience, return to the hallway and head right. If you miss the first junction, continue straight to the second. Alternatively, teleport to the Culture Corridor anchor; the fifth chest sits opposite, behind the chalkboard, easy to spot if you keep your eyes open for markers.
Chest #6
From the previous chest, retrace to the street where visitors are invited to join study circles. The treasury chest lies to the left, between the tents and beside the portrait of an owl, a small beacon in a busy corridor.
Chest #7
Continue along the same street with counters until a large blue monitor with graphs appears. The chest is hidden behind a stack of boxes, beside a smaller square monitor, waiting for a careful peek behind the clutter.
Chest #8
Return to the teleport anchor and move through the hallway until you see broken walkers on the right by the chalkboard. Repair them to unlock a valuable chest.
The puzzle is solvable at any difficulty, and the reward stays the same. The described solution aligns with normal difficulty. After repairing, the walkers awaken and grant 20 Star Jade.
Chest #9
Proceed a short distance along the circular street to the next junction. Behind a cluster of monitors with arrows sits a regular treasure. Walk up to collect the chest and keep moving with the flow of the academy.
Chest #10
Move to the end of the corridor, bypassing the junction. At the dead end a royal tank awaits. Speak with it and select the correct responses to its questions. The right choices are shown in the visuals above.
Chest #11
From the royal tank, back away to the fork and turn right at the monitors, then head toward the origami bird statue. Near the green field, take a left and you will find a regular chest. It sits beside NPCs filming a report about the Academy.
Chest #12
From Treasure Room No. 11, head to the opposite entrance, but before reaching the hallway, turn left toward a group of orange balloons and a square monitor. Move around the cube to the left and you will find another regular chest.
Chest #13
From the previous chest, move to the next entrance but do not enter the corridors. Turn right near two banners; an arrow marks Treasure Room No. 13.
Chest #14
Enter the hallway again, near the entrance where the previous chest was. On the left side there are two tables facing each other, and another regular treasure chest rests on them.
Chest #15
From the last chest, turn right and reach the first fork to take a left, or teleport to the anchor on the Creative Exchange and take the exit. You emerge on the street. On the right near the red arch lie broken Dream Walkers.
Interact with them to fix. The puzzle requires locating the constructor as shown in the reference. Completing it yields 20 Star Jade along with assorted crafting items.
Chest #16
Walk a few steps along the same street to the end of the monkey stall on the right side of the alley. Behind the counter lies another chest worth 5 Star Jade.
Chest #17
Return to the dimensional anchor at the Creative Exchange and keep walking until you see a blue door on the left leading to a second room. The chest sits to the left of the large banner with a white background, tucked in the room corner.
Chest #18
Exit the classroom and hurry back to the previous spatial anchor. At the first fork turn left into a small courtyard of the Academy. Move toward the owl statue but stay left. The stairs reveal more Dream Walkers.
Interact with them to fix. Enter the device mood environment to tackle the next puzzle with Chasik. Several gold cogs appear at once and a path can be built to each one; the reward remains the same. The map shows one possible path, and the route can be rebuilt as needed. Players can simply collect 20 Star Jade.
Chest #19
From the Dream Walkers, move to the space anchor on the opposite side or teleport to the Glaux Statue travel point. An ordinary chest sits a short distance from the device.
Chest #20
Ascend the stairs from the teleporter and head to the principal’s office. A separate location will open. Proceed to the principal’s desk and take the chest behind it.
