Sea Treasures is a quest in Genshin Impact that players can undertake within the Golden Apple Archipelago during the Summer Sea Voyage event. The event window for this content ran from July 15 through August 14, 2022. A separate guide previously explained how to reach this location, laying a practical path for explorers eager to dive into the adventure.

How to start the search for sea treasures

To initiate the Sea Treasures quest, players must first complete the Ancient Azure Stars task, which is a component of the Summer Sea Voyage event. Details about this preliminary objective are provided in another guide, helping players set the stage for the treasure hunt and ensuring they have the right context before they begin the main search.

How to complete the mission “Sea Treasures” and find the wreckage of the Meatball?

The journey begins on the starting island located on the left side of the map. There, the player character meets Meatball and can proceed to trigger the sequence of steps. Nearby, a teleport waypoint is available to speed up travel for players who prefer efficient routing across the archipelago.

You cannot teleport directly to every segment of the journey; however, using the central island as a staging point can halve the walking time. From the teleport point on the starting island, players swim toward the rightmost island to locate the wreck of the ship. Reaching the summit of the hill near the wreck is necessary; there, a close inspection of the object beside the wrecked hull is followed by a conversation with Meatball along the adjacent shore, advancing the quest.

Next, the party moves to the following island, where teleport access remains unavailable. To save time, players may hop onto one of the nearby islands that contains a teledport. The wreck is perched higher here, requiring a climb up the rocky terrain. After this climb, a quick talk with Paimon and a photo of the wreck completes the objective of that stage, with Meatball waiting downstairs for the next turn in the call sequence.

The path then leads to another island where the water setting dictates a slightly different approach. There is no teleport on this island either, so the group uses a nearby island with a teleporter to shorten the trek. A more elevated portion of the shipwreck demands careful climbing, and once the wreck is captured in a photograph, the participants speak again with Meatball to proceed.

Advancing to the next waypoint places the party over a shallow reef area in the water. With no teleport present here, travel relies on a small boat. Inspecting the reef and engaging Meatball’s dialogue are the two key actions required on this leg of the voyage.

For a faster transition to the subsequent island, teleportation remains an excellent option. On the beach, players clear a few adversaries and locate another shipwreck. A conversation with Paimon about a wooden sword precedes the final communication with Meatball, sealing that portion of the quest in the memory of the explorers.

Another teleport point is available on the island at the next waypoint. From that staging spot, players may head toward the beach where a large shell house stands out. Inside this peculiar location is a musical instrument, namely a xylophone, which interacts with Meatball and advances the narrative toward its reward system.

As a reward for completing the journey, players earn several valuable items that boost progress and experience. The distribution typically includes adventure experience points, Source Stones, Mora, and Hero’s Experience, providing a tangible payoff for the exploration and combat encounters faced along the way.

In summary, the Sea Treasures quest weaves exploration, combat, and puzzle-like tasks into a coherent arc across the Golden Apple Archipelago. It rewards curiosity and careful navigation through multiple islands, each presenting a distinct challenge that culminates in meaningful rewards for the dedicated traveler.
