Praydog Announces Hogwarts Legacy VR Mod in Early Development

A fan developer known as Praydog has unveiled a new mod project for Hogwarts Legacy, aiming to adapt the game for virtual reality play. A demonstration clip on the Flat2VR YouTube channel shows a guided tour of Hogwarts in first person, giving viewers a tangible sense of what VR immersion could feel like within the famous school.

Praydog explains that the mod is in an early stage and currently does not support VR headsets as a completed feature. At present, the game runs on a standard PC with players navigating mainly through keyboard and mouse controls. The creator has stated that work on the project will continue in his spare time over the coming weeks, signaling a deliberate, incremental approach rather than a rushed release. No specific timetable was provided for when a more complete VR experience might be ready for testers or the broader public.

While Hogwarts Legacy is slated for a broad release on February 10 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, those who own the deluxe edition already have access to the base game ahead of others. Console versions for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch are planned for later in the year, broadening the game’s reach beyond the initial launch window. This VR-oriented mod sits alongside the official release cadence, highlighting the growing interest in alternative control schemes and immersion modes among the fan and modding communities.
