An essential element in mastering role-playing battles is the ability to boost a character’s stats and unlock new abilities. In Black Myth: Wukong, players aren’t left to grind skill points with little control. The game rewards exploration with “sparks” earned at meditation points, often found in picturesque spots. This guide maps out the meditation locations across the game’s chapters to help players plan efficient power gains.
Guides for Black Myth: Wukong
Black Wind Mountain (Chapter 1)
In this opening chapter, three meditation spots are available. The first sits near a small structure after a tunnel-like cave; the second lies deeper inside the cave, toward a quiet hollow; the third awaits at a distant hillside, visible after a brief ascent.
Wolfsbos, Forest (outside)
Start here, then pivot to face the cave, sprint through, and advance toward the small wooden building. The first meditation point appears just as the path curves toward it.
Bamboo forest, distant hills
Take the left-hand path downward and continue hugging the left side until the cave entrance appears. Inside, the optimal meditation location sits near the center of the chamber.
Bamboo Forest, White Mist Swamp
Stay toward the left as you descend past wooden structures and emerge at the swamp. After exiting the swamp, traverse the cave ahead and sprint toward the cliff edge where the spot lies.
Yellow Windback (Chapter 2)
Unlike the first chapter, meditation spots multiply here, giving players more chances to forestall fatigue and improve stats as they proceed.
Sand Gate Village, entrance to the settlement
Leap into the chasm left of the altar, move through the small cave to the stairs on the left, climb, then veer right at the fork and drop back down to the miniature temple.
Fear pride, stone plain
Proceed to the altar’s left side, shift right, then ascend the cliff to reach a modest tree where the spot waits.
Rock of Terror, Rockfall
Turn away from the altar, step to the right, and follow the stone path to a dead end where meditation can be performed.
Temple of the Crouching Tiger, entrance to the temple
Enter on the altar’s right side, ascend two flights, then turn left into a dead end.
Temple of the Crouching Tiger, Basement
Leave the altar on the left, press straight until a small fork appears, then stay to the right-hand path toward the end.
Hidden Place: Sahali Kingdom, Sand Gate Suburb
Unlock this secret with the help of the guide. Carefully weave through the sand, take the left from the altar, and reach the cliff edge to climb a gentle slope to the hidden spot.
New West (Chapter 3)
Chapter three hosts five meditation points. They’re tucked away and require a bit of exploration to locate, rewarding perseverance with extra sparks for limited detours.
Snowy Trail, Mirror Lake
Approach the large lake and angle slightly left. A small platform sits under the shade of a substantial tree, offering a quiet place to collect energy.
Pagoda World, Wheel (outside)
Move to the right of the altar, ascend the stairs, cross the gorge and cave to the lantern-lit junction. From there, jump the fence and pass the female statues to reach a small tree that marks the spot.
Bitter Lake, Corridor of Vows
Take a right at the altar and walk forward until a striking statue appears on the left, serving as the meditation point.
Valley of Delights, Rock of Consciousness
Shift a bit to the right past the altar, step into the cave with the staircase, and climb. After a long stretch forward and a final ascent, turn right between two statues and keep going.
New Temple of Thunders, Temple Entrance
Enter the building, pass through, and move left. At the fork, take the left stairs up, then follow the building’s outer path. A subsequent rise and a small arch lead to a right turn into the altar chamber.
Spider pit (chapter 4)
The penultimate chapter adds six meditation spots, inviting players to pace themselves through the varied routes.
Spin pit, Jade lake
Turn to face the left edge of the small pond for a serene recharge point.
Spinning pit, in the middle of the pit
Turn again and move toward the cliff’s edge on the right for the spot.
Spin pit, bottom of the pit
Take the left path at the altar, push forward until a small left-hand hole appears. Climb through it and enjoy the reward after a short ascent on the right.
Temple of the Yellow Flower, Wild Forest
At the small fork near the altar, keep left and press toward the cliff ahead.
Temple of the Yellow Flower, entrance to the temple
Proceed through the gate to the right of the altar and ascend the stairs. After the next gate, enter the building on the right, then turn left to reach the small platform required.
Hidden Place: Purple Cloud Mountain, Valley of Flowers
This is another secret location revealed by the guide. From the altar, turn left, cross the river, and stay left until you reach the hillside. Climb carefully to reach the soft terrain and the cliff edge.
Fire-breathing mountain (chapter 5)
The fifth chapter presents four meditation spots, offering a final round of boosts before the journey ends.
Smoldering forest, stronghold of the seasons
Traverse the suspension bridge left of the altar, take the fork to the cave and a left turn, descend slowly, cross the wooden bridge, then ascend the stairs to the right and step onto a small observation deck.
Hot Valley, Emerald Hall
Begin by turning left at the altar, ascend the stairs, and weave past an unusual bridge with a series of turns until a dead end is reached.
Field of Fire, Aspas III
Circle around the altar on the right side, always keeping to the edge on the right.
Hidden Place: Bishui Cave, Purification Well
Make sure to locate this secret spot first using the guide. Turn around and descend at the fork on the right.
By visiting all meditation sites, players unlock the achievement “Picturesque places.” A minority of Black Myth: Wukong players have earned it so far.
