The lower portion of the pagoda is among the game’s most significant locations. It sits in chapter three and invites careful exploration. The approach to the lower pagoda winds through snow-capped peaks. Before entering the Shrine of Mirrormar, a frozen lake hosts a cutscene featuring a monk and the white dragon Kan-Jin Luna. After the dragon battle, exploration resumes in the lower pagoda, introducing new game mechanics. At moments, the screen glows white, the character cries out, red eyes appear, and enemies surge onto the stage. The central structure rotates rapidly as the tension builds.
The objective is to explore, confront new enemies, and endure until the mechanic dissipates, revealing a staircase to the upper floor.

New Temple of Thunders
The New Temple of Thunder lies in the New West. Access it by traveling Longevity Road Shrine, turning right, and proceeding straight. After defeating Captain Kalpa-Wave and passing through a large gate, the shrine appears on the left.
Inside the temple, the Mahavira Hall shrine awaits. Follow these steps to reach it:
- From the sanctuary at the entrance, move forward through the building.
- Ascend the left stairs.
- At the top, turn right and continue forward.
- A broad staircase with two Dark-faced Lords at the summit comes into view; go beyond them.
- Behind them is another staircase; ascend it and find the shrine to the left of the final staircase.
