How to discover words of power in Alan Wake 2
Words of Power in Alan Wake 2 are glyphs that players uncover as they roam the Dark Realm. When a flashlight illuminates the walls, arrows painted on surfaces may flash briefly before vanishing once the light is moved away. These markers guide players toward potent Words. Upon spotting a glyph, the reader should glimpse it and frame the camera to catch the flicker on screen. After a short moment, the Word power is unlocked and ready for use.
You’ll often find it easier to spot Words of Power and other collectibles in the Dark Abode. In each chapter, Sheriff Tim Breaker appears with a map showing secret locations. To pinpoint a precise spot, listening for ambient sounds helps; a distant song often signals the sheriff nearby. The map usually hangs near Breaker on the board.
Powerful words in initiation 2: Casey
Within the central square of the brooding New York, 6 Words of Power await. The narrative nudges you toward the subway, yet exploring the wider area yields additional gear and ammunition. In the subway, continue to uncover 10 more glyphs.
Power word 1
At the alley’s end, where Casey appears and a revolver is picked up, a glowing arrow points to a narrowed passage. Once the signs vanish, inspect the wall above the doorway for the glyph.
Power word 2
Survey the area near the studio’s trash can zone. A poster featuring Cold Casey sits above the glyph.
Power word 3
Head to Draft Street on the east side of the main square. Raise the camera and beam the flashlight at the elevated railway; a glyph appears on one of the mounting posts.
Power word 4
Use the light wand on the pillar beside the subway station. A staircase leads to the station, and a restroom lies ahead. A leftward arrow marks the glyph’s position just a touch lower.
Power word 5
After speaking with the sheriff, pass through the alley door. A ladder invites ascent; climb, turn right, and peek into the gap between two air conditioners for the glyph.
Power word 6
Not far from the fifth Word of Power, a street hosts a parked police car. The wand reveals a shifted landscape where shadowy foes emerge. Vanquish them, then proceed through the open passage and read the left wall for the glyph.
Power word 7
Use the light stick and navigate to the subway station. Before delving deeper, inspect the abandoned train; switch the scene to Missing FBI Agent to reveal a glyph in the carriage.
Power word 8
Right after the first save point in the metro, there will be building materials and a glyph hidden behind a bright arrow on a black box.
Power word 9
Beyond a destroyed tunnel, two passages open. One hides a cart that vanishes with the light wand; the glyph sits on a nearby table behind which a marker rests.
Power word 10
After the second save room, a derailed train scene opens. Follow to a dead end and scan the ceiling; the glyph will appear.
Power word 11
Switch the scene to Torchbearers to open a train wreck passage. Move forward, descend the stairs, and peek into a corner where arrows point to a wooden plank. Fire to reveal the glyph.
Power word 12
After Word 11, advance through the crowded area, eliminate the threats, and inspect the wall behind the ticket office for the next glyph.
Power word 13
Using the light wand, the traveler is taken to the next station. Turn left into the shaded area; illuminate the wall behind the wires to spot the glyph.
Power word 14
Continue exploring the station’s trains. Switch on the lights of a parked train and notice a glyph along the trim.
Power word 15
Post-cutscene, the chapter titled Cult of Murderers opens. Enter the new zone and shift reality to Ritual; a room bearing a wall symbol becomes accessible.
Power word 16
Returning to the first metro line reveals a save point and a staircase to the train wreck. Ascend, then look for a symbol behind the metal bars.
Powerful words in devotion 5: number 665
The next arc, Dedication 5: Number 665, has you carefully scouting alleyways and building roofs for additional glyphs.
Power word 17
Before entering the hotel, check the left alley for a wall symbol.
Power word 18
After moving through the alley, climb the stairs beside a lantern. Follow the glowing arrows to the rooftop edge where the Word of Power awaits.
Power word 19
Continue along the rooftops. Use the light wand to alter the scene; a doorway on the north side reveals a glyph on the water tower.
Power word 20
After collecting the prior glyph, take a left turn into a lower corridor. The sheriff’s song can be heard overhead. Crawl beneath the stairs and corner the glyph above the main character.
Power word 21
On the hotel’s second floor, enter room 224 and turn right toward a wooden sign. Break the wood to reveal the power symbol in the bathroom.
Power word 22
In the hotel ballroom, a glyph hides on the ceiling behind the bar.
Power word 23
On the second floor, a glass-opening door to the left of the emergency exit hides a ceiling glyph. Raise the camera and find the perfect angle to activate it.
Words of Power in Chapter Initiation 8: Zane’s Movie
This chapter brings together the last four glyphs.
Power word 24
In the cinema lobby, ascend the stairs near the storage room. A glyph appears on the wall behind the main character.
Power word 25
Enter the first-floor cinema toilet and access the storage area above. Look up to locate the symbol on the ceiling.
Power word 26
Beyond the door lit by police headlights, the roof is a short climb away. Turn to the spotlight, then look for a symbol in the lower right corner of the wall.
Power word 27
The sheriff can be found in the technical rooms. A hidden passage beneath the metal framework leads to a small opening; raise the camera to spot the glyph on the water tower.
