Agnidus Agate is a material used to ascend Pyro characters in Genshin Impact. It can be obtained from defeated bosses, crafted through alchemy, or bought at souvenir shops. This guide explains every practical way to obtain this mineral.
What is Agnidus agate for?
Agnidus Agate is required for leveling up Pyro characters. Each character needs a specific set of the material to reach higher levels, including 1 Agnidus Agate, 9 fragments, 9 pieces, and 6 precious Agnidus Agate. The following list identifies the Pyro characters that require this resource.
Where can I buy Agnidus agate?
Fragments of Agnidus Agate can be purchased at the Splendor of the Wind and Mingxing Jewelry House souvenir shops. Their locations are shown on the map in the game.
Splendor of the Wind offers 6 shards of Agnidus Agate while Mingxing Jewelry House offers 12 shards. Anemo and Geo stamps serve as payment. These items can be earned by worshiping the statues of the seven Archons and found in various chests across the world.
How to get Agnidus Agate with Alchemy
Open the alchemy menu. If you possess Agnidus Agate Shards, you can craft higher-grade versions of this material.
- Agnidus Agate Fragment is produced from 3 fragments and 300 mora.
- Agnidus Agate Piece is produced from 3 fragments and 900 mora.
- Precious Agnidus Agate is produced from 3 pieces and 2700 mora.
You can recolor an Agnidus Agate stone to reflect different elements. These include:

- Lapis Lazuli Varunada;
- Jade Shivada;
- Topaz Prithvin;
- Turquoise Wayuda.
To change the element, nitrogen is required. It can be bought from the Paimon store for visiting dust earned through prayers. A more detailed explanation of this mechanic appears in a separate guide.
How to get agate using quests
Katarina offers new tasks daily. Completing all of her quests can yield a mineral like Agnidus Agate.
Which bosses can drop Agnidus agate?
Agnidus Agate drops from several bosses. The amount and quality depend on the world or dungeon level (for example, Signora). Early drops are typically shards and fragments, with higher ranks yielding pieces and gems. The typical drop range is 4 to 8 pieces.
Pyro Hypostasis and Orchid are strong sources for Agnidus Agate. Their locations are marked on the maps.
Signora is discussed in a separate guide. The total number of elemental stones is split between Agnidus Agate and Shivada Jade. If the goal is primarily Pyro character enhancement, Signora may not be the most efficient option.
There is a guide on the site dedicated to the ancient Geovishap. Agate appears from him only when he has absorbed the Pyro element.
Before challenging Ajdaha, it is wise to check the rewards for defeating him. Rewards rotate weekly, and there may be weeks when agates are scarce. The map marks the location of this boss.
There is a thematic guide about the Wolf of the North. As with Signora, the total number of stones is divided among Agnidus Agate, Shivada Jade, and Pritvin Topaz.
