Agency TGStat examined how often Telegram users mentioned two February releases, Atomic Heart from Mundfish and Hogwarts Legacy from Avalanche Software. The Russian project appeared to almost double the volume of chatter around the American title in that two week window. This snapshot highlights the dynamic between a homegrown hit and a global franchise during their launch period.
The study kept its scope tight: Russian language posts, users located within Russia, a two week span starting from the game’s release, and no promotional content. The results were clear. Hogwarts Legacy registered 6,605 mentions on Telegram, while Atomic Heart surged to 11,887 posts, nearly twice as many discussions in the same timeframe. The numbers suggest a stronger early engagement for the Russian title among local Telegram communities.
Atomic Heart reached players on February 21 through Mundfish and rolled out across multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S. In the Russian market and the broader CIS region, distribution is handled through VK Play, reinforcing the title’s accessibility in nearby territories.
Earlier conversations noted Mundfish’s ambition for the series, with announcements about a potential Atomic Heart sequel. The team also confirmed ongoing development on four downloadable enhancements tied to previously announced content, signaling a continued expansion plan beyond the initial launch window.
