Sber’s virtual assistant Salute and smart TV set-top box SberBox are 3 years old. More than 2 million Sber devices with virtual assistants were sold during this period. Among them is the SberBox TV set-top box. Denis Filippov, Sberbank’s vice president for digital surfaces “Salyut”, spoke about this at the SmartDev technology conference.
A company representative stated that the Sber team has been creating and developing skills for the virtual assistant with the support of the developer community for 3 years. Every month, 18 million users turn to the assistant for help.
For example, according to Filippov, the assistant has been telling Sber’s generative neural network model for the last 3 years, “Hi, open GigaChat!” learned to open access with the expression. With its help, you can brainstorm, draw up step-by-step plans, look for non-standard approaches to solving various problems and come up with anything from a pet’s name to a bedtime story.
“Hi, smart home!” According to its statement, you can control Sber smart home devices through an assistant. And “Hi, I’m bored!” A multi-stage scenario is initiated that invites children to spend time usefully (draw, read, stretch or play). The skill recognizes children’s voices and suggests activities based on age.
“We listen to users very carefully and use their feedback to improve Sber devices. “The transformation of the SberBox operating system into a fully open Salyut TV platform took place largely thanks to the active participation of our customers, for whom it was important to be able to choose a familiar service for watching movies,” emphasized Filippov.
He also reminded that the SberBox TV set-top box is the first smart device with the Salyut virtual assistant.
Filippov emphasized that the Salyut TV operating system on which SberBox operates uses Russian servers and technologies, so it is not dependent on foreign companies and is constantly updated. The device receives updates based on user requests.
Filippov also announced “Salyut, happy birthday!” in honor of the third anniversary of the products from September 25 to October 1. Users of the virtual assistant can earn promotional codes for SberBox and other rewards from partner companies.
