Smart devices powered by the Salyut assistant now have access to Sber’s GigaChat service, according to Sberbank’s communications team.

Initial testing will involve owners of the SberBoom and SberBoom Mini smart speakers. To begin a conversation, users say, “Hi, open GigaChat,” and then submit a request. In the near term, GigaChat is planned to be rolled out across all smart devices featuring the Salyut virtual assistant.

Sberbank emphasizes that the Salyut assistant is among the first products to integrate GigaChat. The service has already been used by tens of thousands of people and has processed more than half a million requests. Andrey Belevtsev, Senior Vice President and CTO, head of the Technology Block at Sberbank, noted that starting today, owners of Sber’s smart speakers will be able to test GigaChat for a wide range of creative and practical tasks.

On smart speakers, users can generate text and receive a spoken reply aligned with the specified parameters simply by making a request to the assistant. This enhancement brings conversational AI to a familiar, hands-free format, enabling quick information retrieval, brainstorming, and task automation through natural language interactions.

From a practical standpoint, the integration enables users to explore how GigaChat handles planning, idea generation, and real-time problem solving within a home environment. The technology leverages Sber’s robust data processing capabilities to deliver timely, contextually relevant responses, while the Salyut platform manages the voice interface and user interaction flow. This combination helps keep daily routines smoother, with less manual input and more intuitive access to information and tools. The rollout strategy prioritizes ease of use, aiming to minimize setup steps so users can start conversations with a single voice command and a simple request. Following the initial phase, a broader deployment across additional devices is expected, expanding the reach and versatility of the assistant ecosystem. In short, the shift brings the power of advanced AI into quieter, everyday moments, making digital assistance more natural and immediately useful for a wide audience.
