While playing as Saga in In Alan Wake 2 you will find locked boxes with useful items, bags to expand your inventory and even weapons. In this guide we told you how to find and open all the cult members’ caches, and how to get the key to the lighthouse.

Remark: For convenience, we will describe the location of the caches as we progress through the story.

Please note that access to caches opens gradually. For example, some boxes can only be opened after completing a certain story chapter, while others become available when you find bolt cutters.
Cultist stock #1
- Chapter: Return 1: Invitation;
- Place: More Kettle.
Examine the trailer next to the crime scene. There is a chest in front of him. Use the combination in the screenshot above to open it.
Cultist Cache #2 – Inventory Improvement
- Chapter: Return 2: Heart;
- Place: More Kettle.
After meeting Alan for the first time, look around the southern part of the beach. Behind the rubble of trees you will find a chest closed with an electronic lock.
Cultist Cache #3
- Chapter: Return 2: Heart;
- Place: More Kettle.
The next cache is located at the junction between the Witch’s Hut and the big tree. It is locked with a key hidden nearby. Follow the yellow arrows on the trees to find him.

- Chapter: Return 2: Heart;
- Place: More Kettle.
When you reach the private house near the riverbank, you can find this box. It’s on the other side of the fence. Combination with the lock – “658”.

- Chapter: Return 3: Local;
- Place: Wateree.
After receiving the key from the brothers and following the road to the radio station, you will see a small corner on the right of the map. Go there and open the shelter (electronic lock).

- Chapter: Return 3: Local;
- Place: Wateree.
The next box awaits you in a lonely hut, which can be converted into a safe room. To do this, you need to find a hint or use a password. “527”.

Stands next to the Ferris wheel in an amusement park. To open it you must enter a code “147”.

Run to the well. Behind him is a large boulder, behind which the chest is hidden. Only it is locked with a key. With the help of the hint you will understand that the key is behind the statue in the central part of the park.

At this point you will probably visit the biker’s workshop and find a map of the available caches, so they will be marked on all maps of the Saga. However, it is worth remembering that many of them are hidden behind closed doors, which can only be opened with the help of bolt cutters – you will find these after the fifth story chapter as an FBI agent.
Run towards the lighthouse building, but turn right at the fork. You need to enter the combination as shown in the screenshot below. If the first character does not match, use the guess method.

Once the water has receded, return to the caravan park and look for a chest under the caravan awning on the right. You need a key and you can find a clue on the computer. At the gate you will see a plank that you have to climb up. The key is on the counter.

Return to town and run to the pier. The water retreated into the lower part and opened the entrance to the coffin. Code- “496”.

Chapter: Return 4: No chance;
Place: Clear waterfalls.
In fact, you can get this box in the second chapter, but you’ll be returning to the motel often, so it doesn’t really matter when you open it. It is hidden behind a white van in front of the building and is closed with an electronic lock.

On the way to the nursing home, cross the bridge and turn right at the fork. There is a cache hidden on the hill.
Cult Cache #14
- Chapter: Return 4: No chance;
- Place: Clear waterfalls.
Run south along the road and find a broken down pickup truck. There is a box in the van, but to open it you have to solve a math problem. Code- “177”.

- Chapter: Return 5: Old Gods;
- Place: Clear waterfalls.
The remaining caches can only be found after completing the story chapter. At this point you have found the bolt cutters and can penetrate previously inaccessible locations. After cutting the cable on the fence near the health center, run down and find the cache marker on the map. You need a key for it – follow the arrows shown on the scattered signs.

The next cache icon is on the path from the storage area to the ranger station. If you look closely, you can find painted symbols on a nearby rock (screenshot below).

The last cache in this region is located on the hill opposite the ranger station. Its key is hidden behind the chimney of the station itself (outside the building).

Return to the motel and open the map. Here you will see two more previously uninspected boxes, since you only recently purchased the bolt cutters. Behind the restaurant there is a small closed room. Open the gate with bolt cutters and enter the characters as shown in the screenshot above.
Cultist Cache #19 – Inventory Improvement

Run to the pier and cut another cable blocking access to the box. Code- “697”.
Cultist Cache #20
- Chapter: Return 5: Old Gods;
- Place: More Kettle.
Immediately after this you can go to the lake and open the passage to the rental cottages. A locked cache is waiting in house no. 1. To open it, go through house #3 into the backyard and climb over the fallen tree. Find the garden shed. To the right of it are two trees with numbers on them. Behind the tree with the number “2” is a key.

- Chapter: Return 5: Old Gods;
- Place: Wateree.

The penultimate cache is located behind the workshop of the Knights of Kalevala. You can get here with bolt cutters. Enter the code “542” and prepare for some trouble.
Cultist cache #22
- Chapter: Return 6: Scratch;
- Place: Clear waterfalls.
According to the plot, you return to the police station and investigate the basement. Already in the first chapter, observant players noticed here a closed grate that can be opened with bolt cutters. Hidden behind it is a cache with a combination lock – “146”.
To find and open all the caches you will receive the key to the lighthouse (regardless of what order you opened the boxes, the key is always in the last one). At the lighthouse you will find ammunition, medicine and manuscript pages that shed light on the activities of the cult leaders.
