How to start the quest “Save Vulbren” in Baldur’s Gate 3
The quest becomes available once you reach the Lunar Towers. Immediately after entering, turn right and enter the single door. To the right of the pillar there is a staircase leading to the dungeon – interact with it to get to the lower level.
Move along the right side and inspect the prisoner cell, then activate the dialogue with Vulbren. The tiefling will say it needs some sort of lever or blunt object to get out. Halfway through the sentence you are interrupted by a guard. Answer options:
- [Обман] I have permission from Balthazar. Ask him;
- [Убеждение] What are these prisoners going to do? Will they talk me to death?
- I’m sorry. Will not happen again.

Choose the option that best suits your hero. If you fail the test, with the right skills, you can try again. But at this point, we recommend avoiding the fight with the guard.
How to save a leprechaun
Return to the leprechaun and convince him that you want to help. As with all other missions, you can leave Vulbren and his comrades to fend for themselves:
- Bark Root told me you were here asking for help;

We recommend choosing an item with a Persuasion check, as you only need to pass the 6th difficulty class. If your squad has a hero with a pumped persuasion And Charismaautomatically fill in the role positively.
After doing this, listen to the prisoner. He will again ask you to give him any weapon – even the simplest mace or hammer will do (if you have Shadowheart in your team, you can borrow a starter mace from her). But you can also steal Vulbren’s weapon from the guard.
Remark: The fight with the guards at this time does not affect the attitude of other guards in the tower.

In this case, you need to throw the mace through the grid and wait for the dwarf to break the wall. Everyone in the dungeon automatically becomes enemies and you will have to distract the guards.
There is an alternative way to complete the quest – destroy the wall yourself. To do this, follow the western part of the location and look for a breach in the wall. However, you cannot use a regular jump because the obstacle is too high. Cast Empowered Jump or Grant Flight.

Go around the camera and look for thin wall. We recommend that you first go to a wooden boat at the pier and break the chains – so that you further reduce the escape time.
Anyway, the guards in the dungeon will be hostile and you will have to kill everyone to let Vulbren and his comrades escape. It is also worth noting that in battle the head of the prison will use a magic shield, which will complicate the task.
Then return to the fugitives. If the Last Light tavern is still working, you can follow the dwarves there or stay in the towers.
